Chapter 76

The next day... At school...

It's just another average day at school when all of the sudden I spot Derek and Clark having a fist fight in the middle of the cafeteria. My eyes bug out of my head like a cartoon character as I fight my way through the crowd to Derek. Derek's eyes are wild and his facial expression feral as he's beating the crap out of Clark. By the way, Derek is clearly winning, though I don't condone violence. I pull Derek off of Clark without beating an eye at Clark. His breathing is heavy as we navigate the crowd together and find a more private place to talk, which happens to be the janitor's closet of all places. Yippee.

"Derek, what the hell was that?" His face and eyes become sad rather than staying feral and wild. "He was talking shit about you and Becky to provoke me. Sadly, he was able to piss me off." I claps my hands over his. "Thank you for standing up for us. It was incredibly sweet, but you shouldn't let that asshole get to you so much because that's all he is, an asshole. I've learned that the hard way." He nods in agreement. "You're right Myra. You know, I can always count on you to bring me back down to Earth." I blush like crazy. "I love you Derek. I'm just glad that you're okay though."

Derek takes a deep breath and puts a hand to my face, cupping it gently. "I love you too Myra, so so much." I lean my forehead against his, closing my eyes and feeling the love shine through our simple skin contact. We stay like that for a minute before sharing a passionate kiss, yes with tongue and all. Sorry ladies and gents, I have to let lose once in awhile in order to stay sane. If you care about my sanity, then you won't shit all over my actions and the decisions I make that correspond with them.
