Chapter 33

Two days later...

Today is Friday and was the third day of school. I've officially received my first homework assignments for the weekend (blah), gotten used to all of my teachers (I still have the same Music, Creative Writing, and Spanish teachers), and have managed to not get in trouble for slapping Brittany by Principal Neon. To be honest, I think he's a little afraid of me, which is great. He'll probably bother me less now and I'm all for that. I'm just happy it's the weekend. I'm currently on the bus home. As soon as I get home, I'm going to unload my things, get my little bit of homework done, and then relax for the rest of the weekend. Of course I'll be sure to talk to Derek, Becky, and Clark.

Twenty five minutes later...

The bus got stuck in some traffic so I got home a few minutes later than normal. It's all good though. Being home a few minutes late gives me extra time to jam to my tunes. Yes I refer to the music I listen to as my tunes. I like to be different. Screw normal lingo. I'll refer to things however I want to. I let myself in the house and go upstairs to do my daily ritual after school. I decide to take a quick shower before I do my homework because I feel kind of gross right now. It only takes me ten minutes to shower and shave. I get out slowly and wrap a towel around my body, walking across the hall to my room. I get dressed, brush and detangle my hair, and get started on that homework. I don't know how some people can wait until the last minute to get started on projects and/or homework. It gives me so much anxiety if I don't get it done as soon as possible.

That evening...

My parents come home from work and we eat supper together, which happens to be roast pork and mashed potatoes. We talk about the events of the week since we haven't seen each other much over the course of the past few days. After the conversation dies down, I excuse myself to go upstairs to brush my teeth and go to bed. I'm absolutely fried so I definitely need the rest.
