Chapter 34
Time skip... Three days later... Monday...
My weekend was quite accomplishing. I got all of my homework done, had a spur of the moment swimming date with Clark, and ran out to get some extra school supplies. I even got to have a meal at Olive Garden with my dad. As you all know, I love Olive Garden as much as, possibly more than Clark. Sorry Clark. I still love you though. <3
Right now I'm currently sitting at lunch with my usual crew minus Clark sadly. I asked Derek where he was since him and Clark have become closer and he told me that Clark wasn't feeling good so he went to the nurse's office to lie down for a bit. I really want to check on him but they don't allow visitors at the nurse's office unless it's an emergency. I'm sure that all Clark has is a headache and/or stomachache. I have to stop worrying as much as I do. Being an extreme worry watt just isn't healthy for me. I'll text him later to make sure he's okay.
In Algebra II... Seventh period...
Clark ends up surprising us all with his presence this class period, though he doesn't really talk. I mouth "I love you" to him and he mouths it back. Class goes by quickly and I help Clark to his locker before even going to mine. He stumbles twice holding his head and groaning. "Clark, baby, are you sure you shouldn't go to the doctor?" He leans on my shoulder for support. "I'll be fine Myra. I might take a day off tomorrow if I continue to feel lousy tonight. I have some homework to do first, but after that I'm going straight to bed for the night." We go to my locker quickly so I can get my things. I then help him to his bus and catch mine just in the knick of time.
That evening...
I asked permission to eat supper in my room tonight and thankfully it was granted. My parents can obviously tell I've got a lot on my mind. I'm also relieved that they didn't grill me with questions about my day. I'm too exhausted and stressed to even speak. I eat my supper in silence and finish a little of homework I had started before supper. Afterwards, I text Clark "good night" and "I love you" before I brush my teeth and go to bed myself, though sleep doesn't come right away. I toss and turn for two hours before I'm finally able to fall asleep.
