Chapter 54
Time skip... three months later...
Derek and I have been dating for awhile now. Our four month anniversary is next week. My relationship with Derek is much better than the one I had with Clark. With Derek, I'm happy, relaxed, and everything comes easy. Plus his family actually likes me for who I am and treats Derek well so that's a bonus. Now the question that's probably tugging at your mind is whether or not I would go back and change things with Clark. While a VERY SMALL part of me says yes, most of me says no. I'm very happy with Derek now. Not only is he my boyfriend, but he's also my best friend. That makes things a whole lot better.
Anyways, I want to do something special for Derek next week for our four months of dating. He's done so much for me and he deserves to have a little something done in return for him. I was thinking of taking him for tacos and then treating him to thirty dollars to spend at the arcade. Of course I have money for myself too because how can I resist a trip to the arcade. The arcade is located in the mall. It's called Funpalooza and has all sorts of games in it. My personal favorites include skee ball, basketball, racing games, and a jump rope simulation game that I forget the name of. Oh, there's a Kung Fu Panda inspired game that I love too... and air hockey! I don't know I almost forgot about those. Silly me! Derek knows nothing about this surprise date nor the surprise gift I got him in addition to the date.
Derek's so adorable when he persists on knowing certain things that it almost, ALMOST pangs me not tell him. Tomorrow's the start of a vacation week so Derek and I can celebrate in peace without having to worry about school. Speaking of school, let me update you guys on Becky real quick. She's finally starting to get over her douchey ex boyfriend and is content with being single until a better guy comes along. Brittany's even keeping her distance now along with her minions. Occasionally we have a short dispute but other than that, everyone stays away from one another. As for Clark, he's pretty much dropped off the social radar all together. People just got sick of his shit like I did and cut all ties with him. If he were a good person I'd feel bad but since he's a heartless prick, he deserves every last bit of the harsh treatment that is coming his way.
