Chapter 55

Time Skip... A week later... Four month anniversary...

Today is Derek and I's four month anniversary and I'm so excited. In addition to my surprise date and gift for Derek, Derek has one for me as well. I told him that he didn't have to but he just kept on insisting so I caved in. We're doing Derek's during to the day and mine in the evening. Like Derek I've been trying to get a small hint out of him about my surprise date and gift but like me, he won't budge. UGH.

Derek's due to come by my house pretty soon so I'm getting together everything that I need for the day and wait outside. He pulls up with his mom five minutes later. I greet his mom politely before Derek envelops me in a loving hug. After we pull apart, I tell his mom that our destination is the Taco Bell near the mall. From there we can walk over to the mall. After the mall, my dad's going to pick us up and handle the second part of the date anniversary adventure. It's only fair to split the duties evenly.

Fifteen minutes later....

We're at the Taco Bell near the mall. I treat Derek to whatever he wants. He tries to pull out his wallet and pay for the two of us but I lightly slap his hand. Begrudgingly, he puts his wallet back in his pocket and lets me pay for our food and drinks. Our food is ready quickly and we dive right into our Dorito tacos. It's coincidental that we were both craving the same kind of tacos. They're absolutely delicious by the way.

After the arcade...

We had a great time at the arcade. I gave Derek the surprise gift while we were there, which was a special Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson autographed photo that I requested via email. He fanboyed so adorably. It melted my heart into a puddle of feels. "So Myra, I'll tell you where we're going now. I ran it by your dad already and he's cool with it." I smile eagerly. "We're heading to Boston for a One Direction concert." I look at him in complete shock. "W-We are?" He smiles wide at me. "We are. I'll also buy you a couple of souvenirs when we get there." I throw my arms around him while sobbing like a total fangirl. I can't believe Derek did this for me. He really is the best boyfriend ever.
