Chapter 46
The next day...
Becky and I are on the way to the movies. I had to pick Becky up though because her dad's car broke down this morning and her mom doesn't have one at the moment. Her family struggles with mine just like we do. My parents like Becky a lot so picking her up once in awhile isn't considered a chore for them.
At the movies...
We pig out on junk food while watching Cake. We bought popcorn, soda, icees, and nachos. It's every movie goer's dream buffet. Speaking of the movie, it's not about an actual cake. What a shocker I know. It's actually a really dark drama film about a woman (played by Jennifer Aniston) who constantly sees the ghost of a young girl who died (Anna Kendrick). As I predicted, it's not bad, though it could be better. It's one of those movies you should see once to see it, but then at the end of it, you're content with having seen it just once.
After the movies...
Becky and I hang around in the arcade for a bit, wanting to play a few games. First, we play some Fast and Furious racing games before moving on to Terminator and the photobooth. Taking vintage photos in an old fashioned photobooth is always a fun time. After all of this, my dad takes us for ice cream at Dairy Queen before dropping Becky off at home. When we get home, I plop down on the couch and text Derek until supper is ready. By the way, I did indeed make sure to explain to him about my day off from life. He was relieved that I wasn't pissed at him and/or ignoring him. I would never ignore Derek on purpose. He's my baby. <3 <3 <3
After supper...
I log online and Skype Derek for a little while. We've missed each other like crazy these past two days and wanted see each other's faces and hear one another's voices. We're a typical teenage couple in love. Cue the "awwwwwws." We only stay on for two hours because it's a school night and both of us wanted to get to bed at a decent night's sleep. Before hanging up, we say "I love you" to each other. From there, I get ready for bed and go to sleep.
This will be my only update on this story as well. I have a lot to do and limited internet time tonight. Please bear with me. <3 -Mary
