Chapter 30
A week later...
School starts in just three days time, which is crazy. The summer went by so flipping fast. I truly don't know where the time went. Before I know it, high school will be over in the blink of an eye. I don't want to rush high school, but at the same time I don't want to be stuck in this hell forever. I'll get through it though as long as I continue to have Becky, Derek, and Clark by my side.
Now you're probably wondering how I'm spending my last three days of summer vacation. I'm spending them by being as lazy as possible with Becky and Derek. I also had a lovely date with Clark last night. We went night swimming in his neighbor's pool and then had supper at the corner cafe, which is very similar to Starbucks. They even have an almost identical logo on their signs and cups. Though the food and drinks are a little cheaper and better quality than those at Starbucks.
Today, we're all hanging out at Derek's house for a bit before doing some last minute school clothes shopping. The mall is probably going to be jammed, but we'll survive. I believe in us.
At the mall...
The mall is absolutely jammed but we're able to navigate the crowds to get to our favorite stores. We hit Hot Topic, Forever 21, Hollister, Charlotte Russe, Newbury Comics, and JcPenney. It takes us four hours to get all of our shopping done. Derek's mother picks us up and takes us back to her house to have dinner, which is chicken pot pie. I love it when his mother makes chicken pot pie because hers is the best around. Eating it with my two best friends is a wonderful way to end a very accomplishing day.
A little while later...
I hug Becky and Derek goodbye, telling them both that I'll see them in three days time. I then dash to the car with all of my shopping bags in tow, eager to get home and pick out my first day of school outfit. <3
