Chapter 28
Time Skip... A Month Later...
Clark and I have been on several dates since Becky and I last hung out one on one. Though in addition to my dates with Clark, I've hung out with Becky and Derek as a group a couple of times. As for my travels, I ended up getting to go to New York City for a few days with my parents. We got to do and see so many cool things. I'm just glad we were able to afford to do one nice trip this summer. School starts up again in two weeks, which depresses and excites me at the same time. Like obviously I'm dreading having loads of homework again, but I miss the daily social interaction with Becky, Derek, and Clark as well as performing and writing on a regular basis.
Speaking of school starting soon, I'm due to be getting my class schedule in the mail within the next couple of days. I'm hoping I have a decent schedule. The last thing that I would want is to have to switch around my classes. Switching around classes is such a major headache. Becky and Derek did it last year, but thankfully I only lost one class with them rather than most or even all of them.
Anyways, I'm spending the day to myself by doing whatever I please in the comforts of my house. I'll probably have another Netflix marathon later. For now, I'm sticking my nose to into a book. I just started reading Message In A Bottle by Nicholas Sparks. It's really good so far. Whenever I read a book by Nicholas Sparks, I have a hard time putting it down. I will literally only put it down to use the bathroom or eating in some cases and go right back to reading. You're probably wondering where my parents went so I'll tell you. My parents went to the casino for the day. I'm jealous of them. Playing the slots seems like so much fun. As soon as I turn eighteen, I'm joining and getting a membership to the casino and playing the slots. My parents are really good at it so I might be too.
Three hours later...
My eyes are tired from reading so long so I decide to take a short nap before I go online for the evening. Sleeping is one of my favorite things in the world. Not only does it help me escape my problems for awhile, but it also puts me in a good mood. Being too lazy to go all the way upstairs, I fall asleep right on the sofa, which is actually quite comfortable.
Two hours later...
I wake up feeling much more refreshed and chipper. I take a couple minutes to wake up before I dive into watching a few episodes of Friends, which I love dearly. Friends is one of the rare shows in terms of no matter how much you watch it, it's just as great, if not better than the first time around.
An hour later...
My parents come home with supper from McDonalds, that being a vanilla milkshake, a medium fries, and two four packs of chicken nuggets with buffalo dip. I ask them if they won any money, which they did amazingly. Each of them only gambled sixty dollars each but came home with over two hundred dollars apiece. Damn we're ballers. I eat my supper at the kitchen table with them, eagerly listening to their gambling tales. After I'm done eating, I politely excuse myself and head up to my room, isolating myself in the world of the internet.
