Chapter 58
A few days later... Concert Day...
My parents and I got back from Maine yesterday afternoon and now I'm on my way to the Andy Grammer concert. Since the venue's small and easy to get around, Becky and I decided to meet each other there. The venue is about thirty five minutes away from where we live. It's an outdoor arena that can fit about 4,500 people. It's also right by a lake, which makes it very scenic.
About thirty five minutes later...
I arrive at the venue right on time and so does she. We greet each other with a crushing hug before parting ways from our parents. After nearly five minute long goodbyes with our parents, we head inside the venue. I've just realized now how stupid that sounds. I apologize. Anyways, we decided to arrive a little while after the opening acts performed because all we care about is seeing Andy Grammer. He's due to come on in about twenty minutes. Hooray!
Twenty minutes later...
Andy Grammer comes on to perform his beautiful hour and a half long set. He opens up with one of my person favorite songs of his, which is "The Pocket." It's very upbeat and has some vintage like elements to it. The rest of the set includes "Crazy Beautiful", "Keep Your Head Up", "Holding Out", "Sinner", and many more. This concert is easily the best one that I've ever been to along with the Ariana Grande one I went to in March but forget to mention and the One Direction concert I went to with Derek.
After the concert...
Becky and I attempt to meet Andy Grammer among a sea of people and guess what... we fail. Though Becky comes up with the brilliant idea of following him over to his tour bus. We have to push through another sea of obsessive fangirls, but we miracously manage to get pictures with both Andy Grammer and his fabulous bass guitarist Zach. I end up bringing Becky home since her mom had to go into work (She's on call pediatric nurse at one of the local hospitals), which is totally fine. For the entire ride home, Becky and I squeal like typical obsessive fangirls, giving my dad a headache. He grumbles on as if he's annoyed, but I can tell that he's happy for Becky and I. Not everyone gets to meet their favorite artists before or after a concert. I will cherish today for the rest of my life and yes I'm serious about that.
