Chapter 29
The next day...
Becky called me a few minutes ago and told me that she got her schedule in the mail. I told her that I was going to check the mail to see if mine came as well...and it did! I rush over to Becky' house by foot since she lives within walking distance unlike Derek and Clark. I manage to get there within ten minutes with Becky waiting for me on her porch. I give her a quick hug and we head inside to talk about our classes as well as school in general.
"Myra, can I show you my schedule first and then you can show me yours? Does that sound good?" I nod with a smile and listen to her tell me her schedule while reading it. Her goes like this: 1st period- English II
2nd period- Spanish II
3rd period- Music II
4th period- Select Chorus
5th period- U.S History I
6th period- Creative Writing
7th period- Algebra II
I read and tell her mine, which turns out to be the exact same. We squeal loudly, realizing that we have every class together. We'll probably have the same lunch too. I'm so happy oh my god! "I can't believe that we have such good luck in terms of having the same classes together." "I know right Myra. I hope sophomore year treats us well." I put an arm around her. "Me too. I hope Derek and our boyfriends have some classes with us too. It'd be fun to hang out as a group more." She nods in agreement. We hang out for a few more hours before I leave to go back home. As I take my short stroll going back home, I can't help but think that this summer has been pretty great. :)
