Chapter 67

Time Skip... A month later...

Derek is finally able to go out with me on dates and such again. He still walks with a bit of a limp, but he's no longer stuck having to wear a cast or brace. I'm just so happy that he's better. I'm glad he got better before school starts up again in two weeks. We'll be getting our schedules in the mail any day now, as will Becky. Speaking of Becky, I haven't seen her in a few weeks. I need to make plans with her before school starts again and we get boggled down with homework, extracurricular activities, and more. I'll text her tonight about hanging out soon. Right now, I'm going on my first date with Derek in well over a month. It's a surprise though. I've been trying to get some minor details about it, but as expected, he won't budge in the slightest.

"Deeeerrrekkkk", I whine. "Please give me a hint about where we're going." Derek and I walk hand in hand to the place he has yet to even give me a hint about. "The only hint you're going to get is it's somewhere you've never been to but will absolutely love." I cross my arms across my chest and huff dramatically. He simply laughs at me and wraps an arm around me. "I never met a girl who was so eager to ruin a surprise." I sigh. "I'm a rare species. What can I say?" He presses a kiss to my temple, making my heart melt with the utmost love for him. "You're the best species. I love you Myra." I lean my head on his shoulder. "I love you too Derek. Thank you for making me so happy." Derek bows playfully but looks up at me with pure love in his eyes. "It's an honor to make you happy. Anyways, we're here." I tilt my head in confusion. "Where exactly are we?"

Derek gently bends me over his knee, gives me a passionate kiss, and lifts me back up. "Why the ultimate flower garden of course?" As we walk in deeper, I realize that he's right. We are indeed at the ultimate flower garden. I take in the beauty of it and jump into Derek's arms. "It's so beautiful. Gah this is so sweet." He hugs me back even tighter before gently putting me down. I then run through several fields of flowers like the dork that I am and even thread a handmade flower crown to wear. I then take a few selfies in said flower crown, making Derek take some pictures with me wearing it as well. Thankfully he doesn't object and even takes a few of his own, though he prefers kissing photos and silly faces rather than ordinary photos. Well I can't argue with him there as that's the kind of photos that I prefer to take as well. Derek was right, this is the best date ever, though it's only because he's the best boyfriend ever. So tell me, Clark who?
