Chapter 17
Two weeks later...
Clark and I have been spending a lot of time together because of the school year coming to a close. I've also been spending a lot of time with Derek and Becky. Becky's been a ray of sunshine, but Derek's been acting strange lately. He hasn't been mean to me, but I can tell that he's going through something. I haven't been pushing him to open up though because I know that he'll vent to me when he's ready to do so. I just want him to be okay. He's one of my best friends. Derek and his well being mean a lot to me.
As for me, freshman year has treated me fairly well for the most part. I have a 95 average as of right now, I'm ranked 21 in my freshman class, my friendships with Becky and Derek are stable overall, and Clark and I have already made several summer plans. Our summer plans include going to Canobie Lake Park (my favorite amusement park besides Disney World), swimming at the local pool, mall hangouts, and more. I also have a couple of plans similar to mine with Clark with Becky and Derek (as a group). Summer's looking pretty good to me. :)
Right now, I'm in the process of studying for dreaded finals. I have six finals to study for. UGHHHHHH!!!!! The only class I don't have a final is is chorus. Our spring concert last week took the place of a written final exam. I hope I at least get an 80 or high on each of my final exams. The only ones I'm a little worried about are Geometry and Music. I'm not the worst at math, but I struggle with it at times as most often do. As for Music, I'm worried because I've struggled with music theory all year and a big portion of it contains theory. Therefore, you can understand my worry. All I can do is study hard, get a good night's rest before each exam, do the best that I can. I just hope the stress won't cripple me like it usually does.
Note: I'm sorry that my chapters have been a little short. I haven't had the time to write more than one chapter a day and sometimes not even that. Hope you guys still my updates regardless. <3 -Mary
