Chapter 60
The next day...
I sleep in super late and I mean super late. I don't wake up until one in the afternoon. That's the latest that I've ever slept in for a very long time. At least I'm refreshed and ready to face the day, well the majority of it anyway. Derek texted me last night and asked if he could see me again today. Of course I said yes to my baby. How could I not? Him and I have weeks of lost time to make up for. Today though, we're keeping it simple and just relaxing in our favorite park for the day. It's a little bit on the cooler side today, which makes today a perfect day to go to the park. Derek's mom is picking me up today since my parents are at work right now, but both of them plan on picking me up tonight. Derek's mom is awesome! It's so kind of her to be willing to pick me up whenever my parents are working and what not. She's becoming like a second mother to me.
Twenty minutes later...
I scramble down the stairs in a hurry like the hot mess that I'm capable of being and meet Derek and his mom outside. I lock the door with my house key and hop into the car. We give each other a loving hug before I greet his mother. We make some small talk until we get to the park. When we do get there, we thank her for the ride and get out of the car. Derek gives me an affection smile that takes my breath away. "Lead the way princess." A giggle slips out of me as I lead him to my favorite spot near the bridge and by the pond. Derek sits down first and then I do next. He smirks at me sexily and pulls me onto his lap. We spend the entire afternoon like this and every minute of it is amazing.
Later on that day...
We grab some food from the food truck and bring it back to our spot. We eat quickly since we're starving and lie down in one another's arms. I know that I just said it a few minutes ago, but today really is amazing. <3 <3
