EDWARD'S POV

"Oh anak, busyng busy ka ata sa pagbibilang ng ipon mo."

"No mum. Inaayos ko lang, the paper bills were a bit crumpled."

"Baka naman tinitipid mong sarili mo." Mum sat in front of me.

"Hindi ma, saving is my talent. You know that." I smiled at her.

"I know. Pero baka naman masyado mong sineseryoso 'yang pag-iipon mo."

"Hindi po. In fact ma, last time I went to the mall. I bought shirts and a dress for Maymay."

"Good. How's Maymay? Simula nung makilala mo siya you keep on telling stories about her. Pero nitong nakakaraan parang di mo na siya nababanggit." She commented.

"Eh di ba nga kasi Ma. Nagka-away kami. We just reconciled nung isang araw."

"Anung nag-away kayo? Ikaw lang nang-away sa kaniya."

"I know Ma. I'm really sorry about that. I know you raised me well, nagkamali talaga ako." I apologized.

"Naku ewan ko ba sa'yo. You keep on telling me, Maymay's so funny, Maymay's so talented, Maymay's comfortable to be with, Maymay's friendly. Tapos biglang nagkaganyan kayo." She said it while mimicking me perfectly.

"Ma, you're making me feel guilty again." I put up a sad face.

"Pero siyempre sobrang proud ako sa'yo nak, kasi you admitted your mistake. We are imperfect, we sometimes judge too quickly. But the most important thing is you learned." She said that while hugging me.

"Thanks mum. I love you."

"Para makabawi ka. Invite Maymay for a dinner, para naman makita ko na siya ng personal. Isama mo na rin si Yong, matagal ko na siyang di nakikita."

"Sure Ma." I answered with a smile.

"Oh sige na. You better hurry up. It's the first day of school."

I nodded and rushed to my room.

The first class went well.

"Bai. Bakit ang tahimik mo diyan?" That's Yong, he's my seatmate.

"I'm bored."

"Bored daw. Sabihin mo may iniisip ka lang."

I looked at him with a questioning look.

"Iniisip? Who?" I asked him.

"Ako pa tinatanung nito. Gusto mo hulaan ko pa?"

"Bahala ka. I can't understand you."

"Sus. Di daw ako maintindihan. Tao ba to? Mapayat ba to? Hindi ba 'to kumakain ng gulay? Kapartner mo ba to nung performance? Binabakuran mo ba to?" He said while rolling his eyes at me.

"Hey. I'm not thinking about Maymay."

"Huli ka. Ibig sabihin, binabakuran mo nga si Ate May. Tsaka wala naman akong sinasabi na si Ate May iniisip mo ah. Yieee." He laughed so hard.

"You're thinking too ahead." I leaned on my desk to avoid Yong's taunting.

Tumahimik si Yong, I got curious so I raised my head.

"Yonggggggggg!"

He was using my phone.

Tumakbo siya. He stopped as soon as he reached the corridors.
