MAYMAY'S POV

"Why aren't you preparing for the night?" Tanung sa akin ni Ate Jinri.

"Anu po kasi eh. Baka po hindi na lang po ako ummatend. Nakaligtaan ko po kasi na may Gala Night. Wala po akong nadalang damit."

"Hindi yun pwede. My co-sponsors will probably look for you." Pahayag niya.

"Sorry po Ate Jinri. Nawala po talaga sa isip ko. May dala naman po akong dress diyan. Yun nga lang po hindi po ata bagay sa event." Naalala ko yung dress na bigay ni Edward na sinuot niya kanina.

"Don't worry. I got this. I made sure I am ready for situations like this." Kinuha ni Ate Jinri ang cellphone niya.

Nanahimik muna ako. Bakit ba kasi nakalimutan ko na may party nga pala? Si Edward kaya may dalang damit?

"I think a red cocktail dress will look good on you. Sinabi ko na sa staff ko and she's preparing it." Sabi ni Ate Jinri.

"Hala Ate, sobra sobra naman na po ata ito." Nahihiya kong sabi.

"Don't think of it. Magkaibigan na tayo diba? The first I met you, I felt comfortable agad."

"Salamat po Ate Jinri. Ang dami ko na pong utang sa inyo." Niyakap ko siya.

"That's okay. Just promise that you'll carry that dress elegantly and you'll stand out tonight."

"Susubukan ko po." Nginitian ko siya.

"Wait for my staff here. She'll also bring someone who'll do your hair and make up."

Tumango ako.

Lumabas na siya ng room.

EDWARD'S POV

"Hello Yong."

"Oh bai. Bakit ka napatawag?"

"I'm nervous." I confessed.

"Yung sa Gala Night ba yan? Bakit ka naman kakabahan bai?" Yong wondered.

"I'm not used to events like this. You know that."

"Wag kang kabahan. Gwapo mo kaya bai. Pakiss nga." I can hear him laugh.

"Yuck. Bromance? Stop it Yong, you're giving me goosebumps." I asked.

"Kung makayuck. Nakakalimutan mo na bang may atraso ka sa akin?" He sound a bit angry.

"Atraso? I can't understand you." I denied.

"Nagmamaang-maangan ka pa. Best actor ka talaga bai."

"What is it? I can't really remember." I really need to deny this one.

"Binigay mo lang naman ang number ko sa kung sino-sino." Yong said.

"Hahaha. I'm really sorry about that. My roommates are asking for Maymay's number. So I pulled a prank on them." I can't control my laughter.

"So kasama ako sa prank bai? Ganun?" He sounded a bit disappointed.

"I'm really sorry Yong. Desperate times call for desperate measures." I explained.

"Oo na. Sige na. Text tuloy ng text ang mga tukmol. Iba-block ko na to."

"Thanks Yong. I'll call you again later. I'll get ready for the Gala Night. Bye."
