#92 His mum meets the baby

Your POV

Our daughter was now 1 week old and Niall's mum was coming to stay with us for a week. All of our family had met our daughter but Niall's mum couldn't get Time of work to come when I was in labour.

"Mum! It's so nice to see you!" Niall said smiling and hugging his mum. "It's good to see you too, I've missed you both so much " she said. I hugged her and smiled. "How are you feeling?" She asked as we invited her in. Niall put her suitcase in the hallway.
"I'm fine , still get a little pain though" I said.
"That's completely normal, but where's me little granddaughter?" She asked.

We ledger into the living room to where the little pink Moses basket was in the corner.
We surrounded the Moses basket and looked down at her. She was sleeping but kicking so she was going to wake up.

"She's gorgeous" Maura muttered.
Niall carefully picked her up and she woke up. "Do you want to hold your granddaughter?" Niall asked her. "Yes, let me sit down though" she said.
She sat on the sofa and Niall placed our daughter in her arms.
"She looks so much like you Niall" Maura said. Niall just smiled which he had been doing a lot in the past week.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so emotional right now" She said wiping her eyes that were watering. "Happy tears I hope" Niall chuckled.
"Definitely, I'm so proud of you both. I feel old though, both my babies are dads!" She said and I smiled.
"Her eyes are so blue" Maura said and we agreed.
"Something else she gets from Niall, I love her eyes so much! She just reminds me of him so much" I said and she smiled.
