#109 Your son asks for Niall's advice

Niall's POV

"Dad?" My eldest child and only son Ethan asked walking into the room. "Yeah?" I asked him looking up at him. "Can we talk? I need your help" He said. "Of course son" is aid.

"Now Aaliyah get off my legs please" I said to my 6 year old daughter who was sat on my legs. She got off and went over to y/n I then passed our 1 year old daughter, Isabelle, to her.

I walked out the room and walked to Ethan's bedroom upstairs.  I sat down on his bed and he sat next to me.

"So what do you wanna talk about?" I asked him.

"Umm, well there this girl that I like" He stated blushing. I decided to keep my joking comments to myself because I know it probably took him a lot of courage to talk to me about this.

I nodded gesturing for him to continue. "The school dance is coming up and I was wondering how I ask her out" he said. "There's many different ways, you could just go up to her and ask her or you could post a note in her locker asking her" I told him and he nodded.
"How do I know if she likes me back?" He asked.

"Well first off I'm a man and I'm not a teenage girl, but she'll look at you a lot and if you catch her she will look away quickly. She'll constantly be messing with her hair and fixing it when you're around, and she will be very smiley and shy around you" I explained .
He nodded slowly.

"Do you think she'll say yes if I asked her to dance or to be my girlfriend?" He asked. "I don't see why not, I mean look at you! You're very handsome just likes your dad!" I said. He looked at me. "Such a big ego!" He muttered and I chuckled. "Seriously though, you have nothing to worry about E. and you shouldn't be scared of rejection anyway, she's the one who'll be missing out" I told him wrapping an arm around his shoulders. He smiled up at me.

"Thanks dad" He said. "For what?" I asked. "For always being there for me no matter what and always sing there to give me advice" he said . "It's my job to do that bud, so there's no need to thank me" I said.
