#42 Telling his parents you are pregnant

Your POV

We was on the way to Maura's house for a family dinner. Niall's mum, Niall's dad, Greg, Denise and Theo would all be there as well as us so it's a perfect time to tell them that I'm pregnant.

"I'm so excited to tell them! Do you think they'll be happy for us?" He said .
"Yeah, why wouldn't they be?" I asked. "It's just, they might think we're too young to be parents or might be disappointed that we didn't wait until marriage to have a baby" He said starting to worry about what his family would think.
"Niall, they won't be disappointed, we are both 24, not that young and Greg wasn't that much older than us when he had Theo" I said .

We walked into Mauras house and hugged everyone and said hello.
We all sat down in the living room since the food wasn't ready yet.
I sat down on the sofa in between Niall and Bobby.

Everybody was talking between themselves.
"Are you okay y/n? You look a little pale" Denise asked making everyone stop talking and look towards me.
I nodded. "I'm fine, I've just been a little sick recently " I said.
"Oh okay" Denise said.

"That was so good mum!" Niall and Greg said as we all finished our meal.
"That was lovely Maura" Bobby said. "You're definitely the best cook" I said.

After all the plates had been cleaned and put away we all still sat around the table talking. "Should we tell them?" Niall whispered and I nodded.

We both stood up holding hands and everyone looked towards us. "We have very exciting news for you" I said and looked at Niall.
"We're having a baby!" Niall said smiling.
The room was silent for a second. "I told you they'd be disappointed" Niall sighed. They all quickly stood up.
"We're not disappointed, it's just hard to process the fact that your baby is having a baby!" Maura said hugging us both.
Niall let out a deep breath. "Thank god, I thought you were disappointed because we didn't wait until marriage to have kids" He said.
"We would never be disappointed , you make us so proud, and we can't tell you what to do in your life, if you want to get married, you do that, if you don't want to get married , that's not my problem" Bobby told us.
"Congratulations bro" Greg said hugging Niall. "Congratulations to you both, you will be amazing parents" Denise said hugging us.

We all sat back down.
"How far along are you?" Maura asked. "12 weeks, so 3 months" I answered. "Have you had a scan already? Or have you not had one yet?" Denise asked. "Yeah, I had a scan a few weeks ago" I said. Niall got his wallet out and took the ultrasound photos he had in there out.
He passed them to Denise and then she passed them around the table.
"Aww, I'm so happy! What gender do you want?" Maura asked giving Niall the ultrasound photos back.
"I want a boy" I said. " I want a girl" Niall answered.
