#162 Interview with Niall

Your POV

Today Niall and I had an interview on the Ellen show. Harry had volunteered to look after our two week old daughter, Isla for us.

Niall was wearing black jeans, a white t shirt and his white high tops and his hair was in a quiff.
I was wearing a red knee length dress with red flats and my hair was curled slightly.

"Let's go!" Niall said and picked our daughter up carefully.
We walked out to the car and Niall put Isla in her car seat and strapped her in.
He got in the drivers seat and drove to Harry's house.

Once we were at Harry's, we handed Isla to him and gave him the baby bag, which had her basic supplies in, such as formula, bottles, nappies , baby wipes and her dummy.

"She will probably sleep the whole time she's here but if she cries she will either be hungry or need her nappy changing" I told him and he nodded.
"Have fun at the interview!" He said as we left.

Niall and I were sat next to each other on the sofa across from Ellen.

"So congratulations on the birth of your daughter" Ellen said smiling. Niall and I smiled and pictures of her appeared on the screen.
"She's so cute, where is she now?" Ellen asked.
"She's at Harry's because he offered to look after her" Niall said.
"How old is she?" Ellen asked.
"She is 2 weeks old today" I told her.
"What's her name? Is it Isla?" She asked.
"Yeah her name is Isla Rose Horan" Niall said.

As we were talking someone came behind us and made a loud noise to scare us.
I jumped and wrapped my arms around Niall's right arm and went closer to him.
"Oh my god!" I said as Niall, Ellen and the audience laughed.

"You were in on this? Weren't you?" I asked Niall and he smirked.
"I hate you" I said and he laughed.
"I love how that when it happened you jumped as close to him as possible and now you hate him" Ellen said.
"She loves me really" Niall said cheekily.
"Sadly I do" I mumbled and laughed.

"So let's move on from you both hating each other" Ellen said as a joke.
"What's your favourite thing about each other?" She added.
Niall looked deep in thought.
"I like her personality , she's really funny and can take sarcasm and she's gorgeous which is a bonus!" Niall said.
I smiled. "Aww thanks" I said.
"My favourite thing about him are his eyes, they're just really nice and luckily the baby got his eyes which I am very happy about!" I said.

"In the pictures I've seen of her, she is a double of you!" She said gesturing to Niall.
"Yeah she is" I said.
"Is it just me that can't see it then? All I know is she has my eyes and my hair" Niall said.
I looked at him.
"You really can't see it? I have everything already rehearsed in my head" I said and everyone laughed.
"She has your eyes, hair , lips and face shape and she has my nose" I told him.
"How the hell have you noticed that?" He asked.
"Because I look at the baby a lot and I look at you a lot" I said and he smirked and raised his eyebrows.
"Don't get cocky" I mumbled.

"I seriously do love your twos relationship, you've been together for a while, married for a year , you've even got a daughter together and you still manage to act like teenagers!" Ellen said and we laughed.
"It's better to have it that way than being miserable and boring" Niall said and I agreed.

"So now, if you don't mind this, I will ask some questions about your daughter" She said.
We nodded.
"As it's you're first baby and due to your career you're in the media a lot, are you going to keep her way from that side of things?" She asked gesturing to Niall.
"Well we decided on this a few months before she was born. What we are going to do is like we will post picture of her on social media for like friends, family and the fans. We will go out in public with her obviously but we're going to try and keep her away from the paparazzi, the fans are fine because they wouldn't do anything to harm her in any way shape or form but the paparazzi can't get a bit ahead of their selves and push people, and we don't want anything like that happening to us when we've got the baby" Niall explained.
"I completely understand why you're doing that because the paparazzi can be horrible at times, do you plan on taking her on tour or to any of the 1d concerts?" Ellen asked.
"Well usually , I go on tour with him because it's not nice being away from each other for 8 months and only seeing each other for about a week at the halfway mark, but as you all know, the next tour starts in September, which is 3 months away, which means that Isla will be able to travel so Isla and I probably will go on tour with them. I also know that the tour coming up, Liam is bringing his son, Bear and Louis' son ,Freddie, will be joining once we get to America" I explained.
"So is she going to be going to any of the concerts?" Ellen asked.
"We will probably take her to some and put some noise cancelling headphones on, but she won't be going to every one. Since she will only be a few months old she will still need a lot of sleep so I'll probably stay in the bus or hotel with her" I said.
"I've heard that the tour buses are quite small and you all stay on one bus don't you?" She asked.
"Yes, in the only one that's bringing someone that isn't my baby, with me. Because y/n is on maternity leave and will be until the end of the tour. Louis and Liam's wives are busy with their careers and Harry's wife is studying to become a doctor " Niall explained.
"But on the bus, because we always have the same tour bus for every tour we changed it a little. So at the back of the bus near the bunks, there is a room and it used to be like a chill out room with a to and Xbox but we have that at the front of the tour bus now. And we recently sorted the bus out to make sure it is how we want it for the tour. So in this back room we removed the seats and tv and we have a cot for Bear, since he's one now, a toddler bed for Freddie since he's a little too old for a cot now and we have a Moses basket for Isla. We also managed to fit a little sofa in so say if one of the kids started crying or anything one of us can go on and sit with them and help get them back to sleep" Niall explained and Ellen nodded.
