#192 Shopping with the baby

Your POV

"Niall?" I said walking into the kitchen with Aaliyah on my hip where he was making some baby food and milk for Aaliyah.

"Yeah, love?" He asked as he put the lid on Aaliyah's bottle.
"Do you think we could go into Dublin today? I want to buy myself some new clothes and I want to get Aaliyah some new clothes too" I said.
"Sure, we aren't doing anything else, also , we'll have to take your Audi though because my mum borrowed my Range Rover" he said.
I bit my lip.
"Doesn't your car have her car seat in it though?" I asked referring to his Range Rover.
"Oh yeah" he said.
"I could try calling her to see if she needs it today and if not we can just walk to her house" he suggested since we lived in mullingar, not far from his mums house.
"We can try, if not we can just pick her car seat up from there and bring it back here" I said .

"I called her and she said she's going to Belfast for the weekend so she'll be using it but she said she'd drop the baby's car seat off here in about 15 minutes" He said.
"Okay, who's driving?" I asked.
"Your car, you drive" he said and I nodded.

"You coming to daddy?" He asked our 1 year old daughter, holding his hands out.
Aaliyah leaned towards him and I passed her to him.
He placed her into her high chair which was at the end of the table and she began crying.
"Aaliyah, baby, shh,  I'm giving you some food" Niall told her as he grabbed the bowl of baby food and bottle of milk.

She shut up at the mention of food.
"Definitely takes after you" I muttered as I sat down across from Niall.
"Here comes the airplane!" Niall said giving Aaliyah her food with a spoon.
After he had fed her all the food he gave her the milk to drink.

Maura handed us Aaliyah's pink car seat.
"Thank you" I said.
She came in to talk for a while.
"Why is Aaliyah seat always in Niall's car?" She asked us while playing with Aaliyah on her lap.
"It's because if we go out together we usually go in my car because it's bigger and I often take Aaliyah to the studio with me" Niall explained and she nodded.
"Where you going today then?"she asked.
"We're gonna go shopping in Dublin because I want to get myself and Aaliyah some new clothes" I said.

We arrived in Dublin and I found a car park.
I found a parking space and parked the car.
"Can you go and get a parking ticket and I'll put her in the pram?" I asked Niall and he nodded.
I got out of the car and opened the boot taking Aaliyah's pram out. I put the pram up and then put the brakes on as I opened the car door to the back seat. I unbuckled Aaliyah and picked her up, closing the door behind me. Niall came back with the parking ticket and stuck it to the window.
He stood holding the handles to the pram so it wouldn't tip when I put Aaliyah in. (Picture of pram above)
I put her in and fastened her in.

I pushed her in the pram as Niall walked next to me.
"It doesn't seem as busy as it usually is" he said and I agreed.

"Where should we go first?" I asked.
"I wanna find somewhere that sells some nice shoes to buy Aaliyah" Niall said.
"How about JD?" I asked and he nodded.

We walked to where the had was and entered the shop.

"These are nice" Niall said showing me some small black and white adidas shoes in baby sizes.
"Princess, do you like these?" Niall asked in s baby voice .
Aaliyah just stared at him.
"She's not going to answer you Niall, but they'd match with a lot of her clothes" I said.

Niall bent down inf ring of the pram. He took Aaliyah shoe off, putting the one from the shop on.
He pressed down at the end to see where her toes are.
"They fit her perfectly" he said and took it off putting her own shoe back on.

Niall went to buy Aaliyah shoes while I waited.

He came back and we left the shop.

We went into top shop so I could look at some clothes.
Aaliyah started to whine and climb out of the pram despite being strapped in.
"Aaliyah? What are you doing" I said.
She just whined and kept trying to get out.
"Aaliyah, sit down" I told her.
She shook her head and tried to get out again.
"Sit down before you fall" Niall told her sternly.
She began crying and trying to still get out.
"Aaliyah Grace Horan, sit down before you fall" I told her sitting her down in the pram.
She kept crying so I took her out of the pram pacing her on her feet.

"I'll walk around with her" he said as she began walking away.
She bumped into an old women's leg.
"I'm so sorry" Niall apologised.
"It's fine" the woman said and smiled at Aaliyah.
Niall held Aaliyah's hand.
"C'mon princess" he said as she was walking slowly.

We left the shop. Niall was holding Aaliyah on his hip and I was pushing the empty pram.

"Is there anything else we need to buy?"I asked Niall.
Aaliyah gurgled and made some baby noises from Niall's arms.
"Umm, we need something for Aaliyah to wear for the vmas next month." He said.
"Oh yeah, what about that shop over there" I said pointing to a shop that had clothes for special occasions for children.

Niall nodded and we walked to the shop.

We walked to the baby girls section and looked through the racks of dresses
"Hey y/n, how about this one?" Niall asked holding up a dress which had a white top and pastel pink skirt. It also had a pink bow around the waist.
"That's really nice, Do they have her size?" I asked.
"Yep, 10-12 months" Niall said and I nodded.

We bought the dress and left to go to the car park.
We found my car and I put all the bags in the boot. Niall strapped Aaliyah in her car seat and put the pram down putting that in the boot as well
We all clowns in the car and I began the 30 minute drive back to our house in the outskirts of mullingar .
