Dedicated Chapter Song: Young and Menace - Fall Out Boy
"Oops! ...I Did It Again", I forgot what I was losing my mind about. I only wrote this down to make you press rewind and send a message. I was young and a menace.
"Well?" Rose eagerly asked as Anna hid with her and Hanji in the library. "What did you say?" Anna rubbed her forehead. "I didn't say anything, actually. Erwin called Levi away, thankfully, so I didn't have time to say yes or no." Rose groaned, throwing her head back. "Oh, come on! You do want to marry him, don't you?"
"I...I don't know." Anna rubbed her arms, sitting down on a velvet couch. "I mean...yeah...I kind of do but I'm just really scared about it. I'm not...wife material." Rose and Hanji both protested. "The hell you aren't!" Rose stomped her foot. "I'm pretty sure you just valuing hygiene and cleanliness alone is enough for him to put a ring on your finger. Speaking, he didn't use a ring?" She furrowed her eyebrows. Anna slowly shook her head. "I'll....be...back..." Rose innocently slipped out of the library. "She's so persistent on marrying us." Anna ran her fingers through her hair. "I think she just wants what's best for you." Hanji shrugged. "A wedding would be awesome around here, though. It's been kind of drag and boring the last couple of years. I think that's why everyone's so excited at the thought of it."
"What do you think I should do?" Anna asked. Hanji smiled, sitting beside her friend. "It's not up to me. But think about this, Anna. Would Levi be the one person you'd force yourself to grow old with? Can you imagine yourself dying beside him? What about a family? Those are the things you'd really need to consider. Don't let everyone else influence you. Make the choice your heart wants."
Anna looked down at her hands, her heart pounding so loudly that it made it hard for her to concentrate on much. "Okay." she said, solemnly. "I've made my decision."
"No, no, Jaeger, you're doing it wrong." Anna placed her hands on her bare waist during training that next morning before she had to leave for the interior later that afternoon. Her hair was tied up into a bun as she tried to train the cadets on how to get out of the grasp of a Titan. "Like this." she said, lifting herself into the air with her ODM gear as Titan Rose swung at her. She let Rose grab her, knowing she had full control over her powers. "When you're in the Titan's grasp, turn your blades outwards and slash up." she instructed, doing just that, making Rose drop her. She swung around and began to strike at Rose's heels. "Heels, thighs," she said aloud as Rose moved to try and stop her. Anna arched her back, soaring over Rose's forearm and shooting one of her hooks at her throat. Rose tried to tug it out but Anna was too fast. "Up, down, slash the nape," she said, though her cut wasn't deep enough. "Dammit." she pushed herself off the nearest tree and flipped backwards, looking at Rose's nape upside down.
Everyone held their breathe as everything seemed to slow. Anna decided to try something new. In mid-air she switched her blades backwards like Levi had always done and sliced across Rose's nape in an X motion. Gracefully, she dropped to the ground as her Titan friend fell to the ground. Anna turned back to the group, who were just gawking at her. She flipped the swords back to normal position in her hands, grinning at them all. "Something like that." she giggled.
