The patches on their jackets were of two crossed swords representing the Trainee Squad, unlike the Survey Corps who bore the Wings of Freedom. Anna stood amongst the other members of the Special Operations Squad. Erwin stood before the cadets, giving them a strong speech about how the cadets are to choose the branch they wish to join between the Military Police, the Special Operations Squad and the Garrison Regiment.
