After the royal assassination was diverted, the prince and the rest of his family were then heavily guarded in the castle and no one could go in or out.
This means everyone in the castle that attended the party couldn't leave the castle until they find the person that ordered the whole thing. The problem was that the assassins that tried to kill the royal family were dead.
Apparently, if they failed the mission, which they obviously did, and got captured, they had tablets in their mouths to chew on so when that happens, they could kill themselves. I'm not sure what the stuff is that's killing them but regardless, we lost our best shot at finding the person that ordered the hit.
Although I say that, it doesn't mean that we've completely lost. Afterall, we may have lost our best lead to finding the person who did this but that didn't mean we didn't know who it was already.
Everyone else was still looking for clues to finding the culprit but I was the only one that already knew who's behind this. The only problem about that is I need to prove it.
If I just up and say, "He did it!", it wouldn't really do much because I don't have proof. That's why I already devised a plan to catch the criminal red-handed.
All I need to do is wait until the culprit makes his mistake and then he'll get caught. So, until then, I'll just look around and talk to Yuno and the others.
I was about to head over to Yuno and the others until the prince showed up.
"Yuuto, do you have a moment?" He asked.
"Sure. What's up?"
"I was wondering if you could accompany me and my family along with your friends. You were the ones that saved us and I feel much safer if you were to watch over us."
Seriously? Doesn't that mean I have to be in the same room as the king?
I'm not sure if I can handle something like that. I mean, I already met the king but that was when I was in disguise.
Plus, I don't think Whitney can handle something like this either. If I have to go then that means the others will too, including Whitney.
She'll likely have a heart attack the moment she moves one step in that room. This is gonna be a pain.
"S-sure, I'll tell the others."
After that, I went over to the others and told them the situation.
"W-we're going to be with the royal family?! I don't think I can do that." Whitney was feeling nervous and her legs started to shake again.
"Don't worry, all you need to do is relax a bit while Yuno and I keep watch over the family. You don't have to talk to the king or whatever but I can't leave any of you alone with all this chaos going on."
"A-alright." She submitted and agreed to come along.
With that set, we all then went over to where the royal family was. They were in a small room about enough to hold ten people.
It wasn't really crowded but it wasn't very spacious either. The guards blocked our path at first until the prince allowed us in.
There was a red sofa along with three chairs. The sofa could hold up to three people and had pillows on each end.
The King, Queen, and the youngest Princess were sitting on the couch while the Prince and oldest Princess were sitting on the chairs. I wonder where Kalvin in.
For some reason, Kalvin wasn't here with the rest of the family. It's likely that he went to use the restroom but I highly doubt it.
"It's good that your here, Yuuto." The Prince was happy to see me.
