Chapter 38: The Message

-Billy's POV-

When I woke up, I found myself in a small room tied to a chair. 

I noticed that I was tied to a chair when I felt my hands were tied together. when I looked around the room, there was no one except Shoda Yuuto sitting in front of me.

"Good, you're awake." He smiled.

"W-where am I?" I asked.

"You're in a small dark room so that I could interrogate you." He told me.

"Heh, you think you'll get information out of me? I've seen dung beetles more menacing than you."

"Playing a tough guy, I see. Well, it won't matter because I got everything I need to know."

"Like hell you do." 

My comment just made him smile more. Just who the hell is this guy?

"Alright, where should I start? I guess I can start with the fact that I knew from the very beginning that Hazel would send you to come after me."

"How the hell could you have known that? How would you know that Hazel would send a killer for hire anyway?" 

This guy is just speaking nonsense after nonsense. It's getting to the point where I might as well be talking to a fish.

"Well, because she already sent one killer for hire and she failed miserably." 

Was she talking about Nami? There's no way she could fail to kill her target. 

Nami was known for killing every single target that's thrown at her. If she wasn't able to kill this guy then that means pigs can fly.

"Don't think you can fool me. I'm not that easily mislead since I do most of the misleading." 

"Come now, after dealing with you, you should get a clear idea of what I'm capable of." 

"All I see is some foreigner that's sticking his nose into other people's business." 

"Actually, I didn't want to stick my nose in Hazel's business but unfortunately, even if I just ignored it, it would've bitten me in the ass later so I just accepted fate and help the girl that's being hunted down." 

This guy is out of his mind. He thinks he can go against Hazel?

Hazel is one of the strongest people I know that can take me down and some of the other killers for hire. There's no way that this guy can take on someone like Hazel.

"You would seriously go against The Bandit Witch? She can take out a majority of the killers for hire and that's including some of the top five." 

"Really? Then I guess we're on the same level since I took care of someone in the top five." 

"Y-you mean Nami?" 

"Yep. While I was in Gora City, she tried to assassinate me while I was sleeping but I knew something like this would happen so I took some precautions."

"You're lying. There's no way you could take down The Shadow Stalker."

"Well, I don't need you to believe me because that's not why I'm keeping you alive."

He has something planned for me? What could he be plotting?

"What do you want from me?" I demanded.

"Nothing much except you giving a message to Hazel for me." 

"Are you insane? The last person that sent a message to Hazel was sent to the dungeon."
