Once the maids and I made it to the lab, we started to work on the fireworks.
Since the maids didn't know anything about them, I had to transfer some information about them. I knew quite a bit about fireworks.
When I was sixteen years old, I was on firework duty during the festival back home. We had a choice to either buy fireworks or make them.
I was curious on how they worked so I decided to look it up and try to make one myself. I then made a total of four perfectly made fireworks for the festival.
When I tested them out, they worked pretty well and displayed all kinds of colors. That all ended when I accidentally started a fire.
Yeah, some of the trees where the fireworks landed, caught on fire and started to spread like mad. It took about half an hour to completely extinguish all the flames.
It was safe to say that I was prohibited from doing the fireworks during the festivals. Those were good times.
Oops, I'm getting caught up in my past. I shook my head and pushed all my old life memories in the back of my mind and then continued my work.
Now then, there were alot of things we need in order to actually make fireworks. One of them was obviously, a tube for containing the rest of the ingredients.
Now, metal isn't the right choice for the tube. It's durable but once the tube is in the air, there's no telling where it'll land.
"Rose, could you get me some paper?" I asked Rose.
"Right away, Master." Rose then ran off to get some paper for me.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention but I named all the maids. I didn't want to call them by how I described them so I had to think of names for them.
They actually had names before but the maids insisted that I rename them. It was a pain but I dealt with it and named them.
The red-haired tomboy was named Rose, the elegant school idol was named Elizabeth, the green-haired loli was named Emerald, and the blue-haired girl was named Sapphire. I actually wanted to call Sapphire, Rem, for some reason but decided to not to.
Please don't judge me for giving them those names. I couldn't think of any better ones and I just spouted what came to mind.
The maids didn't seem to hate it so I thought it was fine. Anyway, while Rose was getting the paper, Elizabeth walked over to me.
"Master, I wasn't able to find the ingredients you were looking for." She informed me.
She then led me to a storage cabinet that held all the chemical ingredients. Hmm, she was right.
None of these were the ones I was looking for. It might be for the better anyway.
If word got out about fireworks, they'll likely figure out something for actual guns. Since fireworks use gunpowder, it won't be long for them to figure out flintlock pistols.
Speaking of which, there seem to be cannonballs here but they haven't invented the flintlock pistol. That seems kind of unusual.
Regardless, if this place didn't have what I needed then I'll have to improvise. Maybe I could try something with the light crystals.
Hmm, I've been meaning to try out new crystals anyway, so I might as well do a test run.
"Master, I have the papers you requested." Rose came back with the paper in her hand.
I thanked Rose for her help and placed the paper on the table.
"Hmm?" I stared at the paper looking confused.
