"You got some nerves to show yourself here, Shoda Yuuto."
"Well, I just wanted to see how you were doing. Since you're not dead, it seems you're doing fine."
"Heh! I wonder about that. After everything I've done, I wonder why they haven't killed me." Hazel questioned.
"It's probably because they want you to suffer. Death would be like mercy to you and they want you to suffer for all the things you've done."
"That might be it. If they wanted to kill me, they could've done it when I got locked up here."
Hazel laughed at the thought of the people holding her sparing her so that she could suffer. I couldn't help but feel a sudden rush of rage flowing through you.
"What's wrong? You seem more serious than you usually are. Where's that smiling expression that shows how ahead of the game you are?" She asked me.
There's a reason why I wasn't myself right now and she knows why. She's just trying to piss me off.
"Due to our last encounter, every time I look at you, I feel the sudden urge to kill you so apologies if I'm not my usual self."
"Did my history with Iris anger you that much? Please, I've done worse and so has others. I don't see how you can get so mad."
"How about we start with you killing her mother. You first were friends with Iris's mom but that was all an act to get close to her and kill her."
"Ah, Celeste. She was a really nice person . . . A little too nice if she trusted me that easily. I've known her for almost a decade but when I killed her, I showed no mercy as if she was a stranger to me."
Hazel was reminiscing about the past. It was making me sick how she could talk about something like this and doesn't feel anything.
I guess that's cold-blooded criminals for you. It still makes me sick.
"Let's also not forget Iris's father. After you killed Celeste, you married her husband and killed him too."
"He was grieving and needed to be comforted. All I did was . . . Help him get through the pain. After that, things just took its course."
Every word that comes out her mouth just makes me want to hurt her more. I don't know why I haven't strangled her yet.
My willpower to resist must be strong to keep me from going over the edge.
"And after you killed Iris's father, she ran away and you hunted her down."
"She should've accepted her fate. If she did, she would've been with her parents sooner."
That last comment almost made me pry the bars open so I could kill her with my bare hands. she's actually willing to kill a little girl?
"Well, she won't have to accept her fate because you'll be rotting in this cell if it's the last thing I do," I swore.
"Hahahaha! Considering that it's you, I think you just might make me rot in this cell."
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"Nothing really. If that's all you wanted to talk about, you can leave now." She told me to leave.
After my conversation, I left the dungeon and walked back to The Mithril Star. I decided to walk so I could collect my thoughts.
When I first heard about Iris's story of how she ended up here, she didn't really explain much. After we captured Hazel and locked her up, she then told me everything that Hazel's done to her.
