That went surprisingly well than I originally thought.
I knew that we would be able to take down the bandits but I didn't expect it to go so smoothly. I hate to say it but can't I at least struggle a little bit with my plans?
This just seems too easy. I feel kind of bad for the bandits that don't have a chance against us.
Regardless, after the ambush, the guards and soldiers gathered all the bandits and locked them up in the dungeon. There wasn't enough room in the dungeon so they put the rest in another place.
As for the one sent by Hazel who was supposed to capture me and Iris, he was in a room with me where I interrogated him.
"Ready to tell me about Hazel?" I asked.
"Not a chance. You can do whatever you want but I'm not going to break."
The guy's definitely persistent and irritating but it didn't really bother me that much. Most people would get annoyed to where they would torture him but I'd find it kind of fun.
The fact that he's acting all tough even though he lost horribly is just too funny. He thinks that just because he was capture doesn't mean he'll easily break so he'll try to act tough until the end but it's not going to end well for him if he does that.
I'm not the type of person that physically harms someone. My method is to mentally torture them because while physical wounds can heal, mental wounds aren't so lucky.
And that's what I'm going to do with this guy. I'll make him break with ease.
"Are you sure? I mean, it would be fun to torture you but I don't really have time for that." I told him.
"Hmph! Do your worst. I won't break to the likes of you."
You see? He's acting all tough but I bet after a few minutes of torture, he would break easier than a small and thin stick.
"Hmm, I wonder what Hazel would do to you since you failed to capture me," I asked myself while smiling.
That made his face turn pale. Why did I get the feeling that all I had to do was mention Hazel and these guys would wet themselves?
Since Hazel was their boss, it's easy to threaten them because all I have to do is tell them that I'm sending them back to Hazel and they'll likely tell me everything. I'm not a hundred percent certain but I'm pretty close.
Man, who knew that I could use that annoying woman as a good threat to get what I needed.
"Y-you can't do that. You don't know where she is." He told me.
"Can you afford to be sure about that? Think about the others that I've sent back to her. Did they come out alive or not at all?"
He didn't say anything but stayed silent while thinking about it.
"Whether it was from their own will to go back or I forced them, they all went back to tell Hazel of their failure. I think we both know why that is."
It's obvious that if they run from Hazel, they'll be hunted down like a dog. It's no wonder why they fear Hazel so much.
That woman will kill you without a second thought if you even give her the wrong drink she requested. That's how ruthless I see Hazel can be.
"I-I don't believe you!"
He may say that but he's sweating bullets so it's a clear sign that he knows I'm not lying. I don't blame him for trying to ignore the obvious though.
"Look, I don't really care if you believe me or not. All I want is for you to make a call to Hazel."
"And why would I do that?" He asked.
