Chapter 100: A Burning Passion

[Yuuto, we have a situation.] Leontine called me. 

I was still asleep so I didn't answer her at first. Leontine then proceeded to call me like some alarm clock.

[Yuuto, this is serious! Wake up!] 

[Alright . . . I'm up.] I told her while yawning. 

Man, and I was sleeping good too. I think that I sleep better than I have before. 

[What's wrong?] I asked.

[There's a burning village in your vicinity. Not only that but the arsonist herself is still there.] 

Seriously?! Looks like I need to hurry.

I quickly got up to inform Kenji but before I could, Kenji beat me to it.

"Master, I'm seeing a black cloud of smoke up ahead. It could be another burning village." 

"It is. Step on it!" I ordered him. 

The carriage began to speed up and I took the time to take a wardrobe change. I was now in my Karma disguise. 

While I was at it, I used all types of detection magic to see if Scarlett has any allies with her. It seems that she was on her own.

I also checked to see how many villagers were still alive. I detected about fifteen to twenty villagers alive. 

"Master, I'll join you." Yuno was about to change too but I stopped her.

"No, I'm doing this with the maids. Also, Nami and Billy, you guys need to stay hidden while saving the villagers." 

"Huh? Why?" Nami asked.

"Because Scarlett's here. If Scarlett was sent by someone and sees you two, she'll report it. I don't want any more trouble than I'm already getting." 

They were hesitant for a moment but they both nodded as a sign of acknowledgment. Once we arrived at the burning village, I left the carriage to go after Scarlett while the others went to save the villagers.

[Leontine, where is she?] I called Leontine.

[A couple meters from you. Ruby is currently watching her.] Leontine informed me.

[Got it.]

I then switched calls and I was now talking to Ruby.

[What is Scarlett doing, Ruby?] I asked.

[She's watching the village burning. She has this big grin on her face like she's enjoying it.] 

Typical pyromaniac. I'm not surprised if she was getting off to something like this. 

I got closer to Scarlett's location and I then encounter Ruby. When Ruby saw me, she pointed at where Scarlett was. 

"She's right there, Master." 

I looked at where she was pointing and saw Scarlett slowing walking around the burning village. She looked at the burning buildings and she was definitely smiling.

She had bright orange air that almost looks like fire because it's glowing and waving around like fire does. That's actually a nice appearance for her. 

She seems to be in her twenties and was wearing a red and black coat vest along with some kind of orange dress with it. How has it not caught on fire yet?

"Alright, get Sapphire and help her get rid of the fire," I told her.

"What about you, Master?"
