Two hours . . . Two hours of planning for that stupid festival.
I feel like I wasted two hours of my life. Not only that but we weren't even able to figure out what to do to make the festival better than before.
Fate told me that last years festival involved a contest of . . . Best sculptures of Oena.
I'm not even sure what to say about that. Anyway, even after spending two hours planning, we still didn't come up with anything.
It was getting dark so we postponed the plan for the festival and will try again later tomorrow. So, I left the Temple and headed back to the Inn where the others were waiting for me.
Once I got back to the Inn, I noticed that Iris was sulking in her room. I also saw Yuno and Nami, who was in her cat form.
"I'm guessing Iris is still depressed, right?" I asked.
"Yeah, I've never seen her this sad before," Nami told me.
"Master, I think you should talk to her," Yuno advised me.
"I want to, but I'm not sure she'll listen to me."
"We have to do something. Watching Iris sulk like that is giving off a depressing atmosphere." Yuno insisted.
I tried to think of something but I couldn't. I've never been through a situation like this.
I never had any little siblings. I only had a big sister so I couldn't figure out anything.
I also never interacted with any young children in my past life. I thought about doing babysitting but decided not to.
"I'll think of something, but in the meantime, you guys should get some rest. I'm sure I'll be able to lighten Iris's mood once I think of something." I promised them.
Both of them agreed and went to their room. As for me, I also went to my room.
When I got inside, I noticed Billy was in the room.
"Oh? I'm guessing you're done with hanging out with that Oracle girl, right?" Billy asked.
"That's right. Tomorrow, I'll be going back to the Temple so we can continue our planning for the festival." I explained.
"I see. Well, I'll be looking around the city some more. I'll also keep an eye out for any enemies that are coming for ya."
"Good. I'll be counting on you." I told him.
After that, Billy left the Inn through the window and went into the night.
"Kenji, keep an eye on the others while I'm gone," I told Kenji.
"Where are you going, Master?" Kenji asked.
"I'm heading to the base. I need to come up with an idea for the festival." I told him.
Kenji confirmed my orders and I then opened up a portal. Once I went through it, I was back at the base.
[What are you going to make, Yuuto?] Leontine asked.
[I'm not sure. That's why I'm here. The base helps me think. Especially, when I'm in the lab.] I told her.
I then look around the lab to see if any ideas will pop into my head. So far, nothing seemed to spark.
Maybe I should head to the library. There might be something there that can help me.
With that in mind, I left the lab and headed towards the library. Once I got there, I started picking out books that involved festivals.
