Chapter 46: The Date

-Theodore's POV-

"Sister, we're heading out," I told Evalyne.

"Huh? Where are we going?" She asked.

"We're going to the city. You need some fresh air and a stroll through the city should help you."

Watching my sister slowly wither away is too much for me to bear. I need to do something.

"Okay, but where's our escort?" She asked.

"We're not having escorts. They'll just slow us down." 

"But what about Father? He'll be angry that we didn't bring guards with us." 

She was right, of course. However, we're not going to be going to the city in our current attire. 

"Come on, put this on," I told her and tossed a disguise to put on.

She looked at the disguise and looked disgusted.

"Look, I know it's not your preference but this will keep people from recognizing us. Just bear with me, please." I begged her.

She then surrendered to me and agreed to put on the disguise. Good, now we can go into the city without the citizens from recognizing us.

Getting my sister out of this room is my only option to help her. Maybe once we're roaming around the city, she'll lighten up a little bit.

-Yuuto's POV-

Hmm, I don't know why I agreed to a date with Iris but here I am, going on a date with her.

After I agreed with Iris about the date, I told the others that Iris and I were going to head out. I didn't tell them about the date but somehow Yuno found out the moment we were about to leave.

"Hang on a minute! Iris is acting way too happy for this to be just some stroll. What's going on?" She interrogated us.

I didn't say anything then Iris talked.

"Yuuto agreed to go on a date with me." She told her.

"What?!" She was outraged at the thought.

"Come on, Yuno. It's nothing to get serious over." I told her.

"It's everything to get serious over! What'll happen if you guys get in the mood?!" 

The mood? What is she talking about?

"Look, Yuno, all we're doing is going out and having a little fun, that's all." 

"I agree with Master. He's been cooped up in the lab so I think it's best for him to get some air." Kenji supported me.

"You too, Kenji?! I thought we were on the same side!" Yuno felt betrayed.

"Master's health is our first priority so his date with Iris is fine as long as he goes outside and relaxes." 

"B-but-"

"No buts, Yuno. Master is going on a date with Iris." Kenji declared.

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Yuno then lunged at me.

I was about to dodge her until Kenji grabbed Yuno by the back of her shirt and held her up.

"Put me down, Kenji!" She barked at Kenji.

"No, because you'll ruin Master's free time."

"That's because he's going on a date! I can't allow that!" 

"You can and you will. Our reason for being created is to keep Master safe even if it's from himself. He's been held up in that lab for too long and he needs time to relax."
