Quinn POV

Jamie fell asleep on the couch around noon. He was watching his morning TV shows and ended up falling asleep, which is usual for him to do I found out recently.

Harry and I are in the kitchen currently. We're straightening up after our family breakfast and we're also chatting a bit to make time go by as we both clean.

"Wendy might stop by tomorrow to say hi to Jamie," Harry mentions to me as he changes the topic. I take my eyes off of the counter top and look to my boyfriend. My cheeks heat by the mention of his ex's name. The thought of Jamie telling me about Wendy's boyfriend comes into my mind and I feel bad for not mentioning it to Harry. "Is that okay?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?" I ask, playing off a fake smile.

Should I wait on telling him?

Should I keep this information to myself?

Should I hint to it?

I don't know what to do.

"Have you talked to Wendy recently?" I ask Harry as I turn off the sink. I lean my back against the counter and watch his eyebrows furrow and his face turn instantly confused.

"Well, she texted me this morning about seeing our son. Besides that, not really. Not since Monday, why?" He asks, tilting his head a bit by my out-of-the-blue question.

I open my mouth to speak, then quickly close it, regretting my choice to bring it up at all. "Curious is all. Um, what days are you working this week again?" I ask, changing the topic.

"You never bring up Wendy, Quinn. What's up?" Harry asks, staring at me with an intense look that makes my face flush.

I remain silent for a bit and dig my teeth into my bottom lip. "James brought up to me that Wendy has a boyfriend." I say in a slowly. He takes what I said and processes it. His face turns more confused and my heart begins to race, not knowing how he's going to react.

"How would James know that?" He asks me. I tap my foot a little nervously and run my fingers through my hair. "Quinn, how would he know that?" He asks again, raising his voice a bit from my lack of silence.

"He went on vacation with them?" My answer sounds like a question which throws my boyfriend off.

"Do you know this for a fact?" Harry asks, staring at me with his look that makes me feel bad for bringing it up.

"Yes." I say.

"How do you know?"

I roll my eyes by the million of questions he's giving me. I just told him James told me, but I guess that didn't go through his brain.

"Jamie told me this morning, okay? And he didn't want me to tell you but I didn't want to keep it from you." I explain briefly in a quick sentence.

"So, you're telling me that Wendy took some dude to Disney with my son?" Harry asks, staring at me with this look that makes my heart throb.

"He's her son too, but yes," I say. Harry remains silent and shakes his head. "What's wrong with that? Don't you think she knows what's best for her child?" I ask.

"She should've talked to me first before introducing some guy to him and now having this stranger in Jamie's life, Quinn," He defensively. "That's so fucked up."

"How's it fucked up? It's her boyfriend. We don't even know how long they've been dating or anything so it's not some random dude if they went on vacation together. Not to mention I'm your girlfriend and I'm in his life." I say.

"You were in my life before Jamie was born, that's the difference. Wendy met you and said you could be apart of his life. She didn't do that with me, and that's the problem." He says, raising his voice more in frustration.

"I think the issue is that you don't want to be replaced. You think Jamie is going to love Mason more." I say.

"His name is Mason?" Harry questions, I nod 'yes' to answer. "And no. I'm his father, no one can replace me unless I die suddenly."

I roll my eyes by his last comment.

"Sure. You're telling me you don't mind the fact that Mason can play catch with James or do one-on-one things with him?" I ask, causing Harry's jaw to tension. "Exactly. You had to expect this eventually considering the situation you both are in."

"She should've told me first. I should've met him first." He says, ignoring my comment in general.

I sigh to myself and roll my eyes. "Talk to her about it then." I say.

"If you were in my shoes, wouldn't you be mad?" Harry asks.

"I wouldn't want to picture myself in your shoes," I blurt out without thinking. Harry falls silent by my choice of words and stares at me with this look that makes my heart pinch. I regret what I say and look down to my shoes. "I'm--"

Before I could finish my sentence he leaves the kitchen, causing me to sigh and tug at the roots of my hair.
