"So, you two fucked didn't you?"
The bluntness of the question stuns me to the point of stillness as Sieglinde smirks at my reaction, already knowing that she's right. With no one else to witness my flustered state, I try my hardest to prepare myself for questioning.
"You know Ciel, I never pegged you for a homosexual. Honestly I was surprised that you were engaged to Elizabeth and yet you treated her as you would treat a child."
"I was never attracted to anyone. Not sexually, not physically..."
"That's what I thought! So what makes Sebastian any different?"
"I suppose... I suppose it's that he knows the real me. That I am the Evil Nobleman and yet I am so much more. He knows all of my secrets Sieg." The thought of those beautiful little secrets that he so loyally keeps brings a smile to my face.
"Is he the one?"
I stretch out my hand, turning the band around to show my gorgeous engagement ring.
"I've known for a long time, but I decided that I was ready to take the next step the night we first had sex."
"It was that good?!"
"It wasn't the sex that made me do it! I trusted him with my body and with my emotions and he didn't take advantage of that trust. I...That's never happened before..."
"You lay with everything exposed to him and he didn't violate that trust. I get it. Congratulations Ciel and...dress as a woman when we go out."
"Why?"
"You and Sebastian should be allowed to go and roam around places together without being scrutinised. But until the time comes when your type of relationship is accepted by the public...you'll have to hide who you are to be happy." She gives me a sympathetic smile as she leaves the room, as if she knows firsthand how it feels. To hide to be happy. To put on a mask to survive. To play the part of a young lady as a proud nobleman for the sake of forbidden love.
Forbidden, hmm-
"You wouldn't think I'd leave you all by yourself now, do you?" A rich voice sounds in my ears as dark mist turns to arms wrapped around my waist.
"Can't get enough, can we?" I tease in return, a devilish smirk resting on my lips as I lean my head against his chest.
He leans over me, his hair tickling my cheeks as he looks into my eyes. Granted he was upside down from my view, but that didn't take away from those perfect blood red eyes that gaze into mine so deeply.
"No."
I close my eyes as those soft lips press against my own, and somehow, it doesn't feel strange to have his top lip on my bottom lip. I expected something different.
I bring my hands up to run them through his raven hair, cherishing this moment as it fades away. His lips leaving mine with only a ghost to remember them by.
"Now you're the one who wants more."
I turn in his arms in order to face him, my fringe falling in front of my eyes, blocking the view of my beautiful bastard in the slightest way.
"Damn you, Sebastian Michaelis."
"Soon to be Phantomhive-"
"You really do adore the family name."
"Of course I do, it belongs to you."
"Sebastian, that was the cheesiest thing you have ever said to me."
"But did you enjoy hearing it?" My mouth opens to protest but there are no words to say. How the Hell do I argue against the goddamned truth?!
"You admit defeat! I win!" He cheers as though he won a fucking trophy.
"You cheated-"
"L I E S."
"You did-"
"How did I cheat?!"
"You looked at me!"
"Oh the humanity!" He rolls his eyes in faux exasperation, pulling me closer to chest. "Fine, if you really want...I can share the prize with you."
"What prize?"
"Seeing you in a dress-"
"YOU BASTARD HOW COULD YOU-"
"HOW COULDN'T I?!
"YOU'RE DRESSING UP LIKE A NOBLEMAN-"
"YOU'RE THE ONE PUTTING ON A DRESS FOR ME-"
"IT'S FOR ME TO BE WITH YOU NOT FOR YOU-"
"I could get you to wear a dress just for me~"
"THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN-"
And that, was how I was forced to start my day. With an imbecile who I love for some idiotic reason.
