Edrake's POV

Everything is strange to me now. I barely got the chance to be thankful for what I have right now, not knowing that there are so many people that are struggling but they are way more positive and optimistic in life. How could they do that?

I should start to count my blessings and be thankful about it because I'm too blessed compared to some.

After that late night talk, we returned to our respective rooms. We haven't participated the short program but it is alright, atleast Dane felt relieved after that talk.

I'm impressed with the way she battles on life. She's a tough woman ready to take on the road of struggles and pain. Even though, she got her heart broken, she remained still and composed and is happy with what she had become.

Morning came and everyone prepared for a "team building" - it is organized by Elaine and I think everything is set. I need to enjoy this day because after this, I will be battling with data, computations, problems and stress. So, let's get it on.

We are gathered here near the shore and I'm quite relaxed because I think there are only few tourists right now since it is a weekday.

"Okay so ang mangyayari, we need to group you by five. Isa isa kayong bubunot ng papel dito sa box at ang mapipili niyong papel ang siyang magiging grupo niyo." Elaine instructed.

Oh by the way, I understand Tagalog but I can speak straight tagalog. I've been here for more than a year so I've learned the language a little.

Each one of us is falling on line to pick a small paper there in the box. Dane is on the front side so probably she'll go first to find out which team will she belong. It's my turn and when I picked a paper, I saw a blue one and when I looked on Dane's hand, she's also holding a blue paper. Thank God, I have someone to talk to. I smiled.

"Since everyone has its team, it's time to start the Amazing Race!" Elaine announces.

Everyone shout and cheer for excitement. Well, I'm competitive so I'm winning this with my team, of course. My teammates are Dane, Gina, Jano and Nico. They're close to me so there will be a teamwork probably.

"Oh and before anything else, the winner of this game will enjoy a full body massage courtesy of course of our generous bosses." Elaine shouted and everyone gasp and eager to win that prize. I can enjoy that whenever I want but for my team, we will win this and enjoy altogether the prize.

"So guys, heres our plan ... " I gathered my team and discuss some important points on how to win this whole race.

"Let's go Blue Team!!!" we exclaimed

"Seems like the Blue Team is eager to win that full body massage, magpapahuli ba ang ibang teams natin 'dyan?" Elaine asked the other teams and as expected they all disagree. I chuckled.

"On the count of three, we will start the race ...

GO!!!" And everyone rushes down the first station. Everything is okay as we are taking the lead down the third station. There are five stations all in all and the last two are tough according to Elaine, the game master.

The fourth station is a mind game. There are a lot of cards that are faced down. You need to find its exact pair and if you'll flip it correctly, you'll go directly to the fifth and last station.

Dane volunteered to take on flipping the cards and we are instructing her in case she forgets the pair of the cards. The teams has not arrived at the moment and we are relieved by that.

Damn, there are a lot of cards and we can't remember it.

"Okay guys, relax muna tayo. Ganito, Jano, ikaw ang magmemorize dito sa top right part. Gina, sa top left part. Nico sa bottom right and Edrake, bottom left." We all agreed and by that, everything is easy. We are down to our last four cards and baaaam! We passed the fourth station. We are running our way to the last station. After we arrived, they gave us five paper plates. The facilitators explained that we should carry one member as we step on the paper plates. It's like you are rescuing someone and you only need to step on the right path or else, you'll be in trouble. Nico went carrying Gina and went back immediately as Jano carries Nico. Nico came back and carries me and for the last one, I need to carry Dane to our safe zone. All teams are present here in the last station. Damn they're so quick man. I hurriedly carried Dane, pressured and panicking as everyone is doing the challenge. As I stepped on the last plate, I accidentally slipped through it. Good thing I immediately grabbed Dane on top of me. It's like a slow motion and ...

Booogsh

We fell. She's on top of me and I carry her load. Everything stopped as I stare her right in the eyes. My heart skipped a beat, ghad what is happening?

Everything snapped back as Nico shouted our names to get up and win the whole thing. Gladly, I came back to my senses and we won the Amazing Race.

Everyone on my team jumped with victory in our eyes and as I hugged Dane, my heart skipped a beat, again.

This is all weird.
