Dane's POV

Tulala ako ngayon sa loob ng aking sasakyan. Sinusubakan kong i-sink in lahat lahat ng narinig ko sa araw na ito. Parang ang komplikado naman ata ng buhay ko Panginoon? Malaki po ba ang kasalanan ko sa nagdaang buhay ko at ito na ang kabayaran sa lahat ng iyon?

Napahagulgol ako sa manebela ng aking sasakyan. Nandito ako ngayon sa harap ng eskwelahan ni Nate. Pero ang bigat bigat ng pakiramdam ko, ang sakit sakit kasi parang walang kasiguraduhan na may magiging kami pa ni Edrake. Hindi ko nga alam na baka may bago ng minamahal ang puso niya. Ito ang magiging bangungot ko habambuhay, parang hindi ko kakayanin. Pero, panghahawakan ko ang katagang 'makakalimut man ang isip, ang puso hindi'.

Nabalik lang ako sa diwa ko ng may marinig akong munting katok sa bintana. Agad ko namang pinunasan ang luha ko. Hindi pwedeng makita ako ni Nate ng ganito. Matapos kong maayos ang sarili ko ay binuksan ko na agad ang pintuan.

"What took you so long Na-" sabi niya habang papaakyat sa upuan.

"What happened to you, Nay?" alalang sabi niya.

Haynaku ang lakas talaga makiramdam ng batang 'to.

"Ha? W-wala. Halika punta tayo sa paboritong ice cream parlor mo." pag-iiba ko at pinaandar ko na ang aking sasakyan.

Kailangan kong sabihin lahat lahat kay Nate. Ayokong umasa siya sa wala, na baka bukas babalik na ang Tatay niya, na sa tingin ko ay malabong mangyari.

Naging open ako kay Nate. Lahat lahat ikinwento ko sa kanya pwera sa mga ginawa ng Lolo niya, ayokong maging masama ang imahe niya kay Nate kasi kahit pagbaliktarin mo man ang mundo, ama siya ni Edrake at lolo siya ni Nate.

Matalino naman 'tong anak ko kaya naintindihan niya naman. Sinabi ko lang na inaayos ng Tatay niya ang lahat lahat para maging maayos na kami. 'Yan ang araw araw na pinanghahawakan ng anak ko. At ngayon, sa nalaman kong balita, parang mawawala ang pag-asang natitira sa puso niya.

"What do you want, Nay?" pagrepresenta niya na siya na ang umorder. Nandito kami ngayon sa exclusive room kasi magiging emosyonal ang pag-uusapan namin.

"Any flavor, anak. Ikaw na bahala."

"Got it, Nanay." sabi niya at lumabas na sa pinto ng kwarto.

Ihahanda ko ang sarili ko na ipaintindi sa kanya ng maigi. Dahan-dahanin ko lang baka masaktan ko ang damdamin ng anak ko. Hindi ko kakayaning masaktan siya.

Nate's POV

My mom's been acting so weird after sge fetched me in school. Is she having a problem? Maybe on work. I just sighed it all, I wanna make her happy always.

As I was looking at the glass container for the ice cream, I suddenly bumped on a tall man.

"I'm sorry, sir. I haven't seen you. I apologize." I said. Nanay always told me to ask for apology after you did something wrong.

I looked up to him and he seems shocked and confused but he shrugged it all.

"It's all fine, young man. Who are you with?" he said. My mom told me not to talk to strangers but he looked harm less and there are many security guards here so I'll be fine.

"I'm with my Nanay." I answered him briefly.

He was about to say something but it's already my turn.

"Next." the cashier said.

"I gotta go, sir. Nice to meet you." I waved goodbye.

He just smiled and I continue my order and got it a few minutes after.

I immediately go to our exclusive room and as I looked back, I saw that man staring at me and in the room I'm going in. He looks creepy so I ran to the door and opened it quickly. Nanay is shocked by my arrival but she immediately laugh afterwards.

"What happened to you? Seems like you've encountered some monster there?" she teases.

"I think so. I saw this man and he's staring at me. He's wearing a sunglasses and a mask covering his mouth. It's creepy, right?" I said while preparing our treats.

"Enough reading those books, Nate. It seems like you're getting delusional." Nanay again teased me.

"Hey! It's not like that Nay, he really us creepy." I retaliated. But she just laugh, well, I rather see her like this than her state a few minutes ago.

"I know, I'm just kidding."

We just both laugh and enjoyed our ice cream. We talked about what happened within our day and what we will do when we go home.

After a few moments, she suddenly changed her mood. That's quick but it seems like it is something important and urgent.

She hold my hand and started speaking.

"Nate, I and Tita Laurice met a while ago."

I knew her by name also my Lola Cathy and Lolo Kevin. They're Tatays family. So, this talk has something to do with me.

"What happened Nanay?" I asked and she sighed.

"We've talked about what happened seven years ago. She told me that Tatay got into an accident, that's why he didn't got the chance to see us." she said and tears are forming from her eyes. I'm shocked but I have to accept this because we have nothing to do it.

"She also told me that Tatay lost his memory. All his memory Nate, he can't remember anything even his mom, his dad, Laurice and probably, me." she broke down. I immediately hug her. It pains me seeing her like this.

"I'm sorry Nate if I can't push our place to your Tatay's heart. I can't let him love us just because he sees us as his responsibility, only. But, I'm still hoping that someday, it will go back to normal. Just help me pray, anak." she added and I just hug her tightly.

"It's okay Nanay. If God let this things happen then there will be a possibility that everything will turn out on our favor soon. Pain will never stay in our hearts forever that's why I'm holding onto that." I comforted her. Her face light up and I can say that those words I said are comforting.

She smiled and it made my heart happy. I know God will help us with this one, something big will happen. Maybe not now, but soon.
