Love Can Save It All

Dane's POV

It's a daily routine for us both ni Nate na magpray right after we woke up. It's a brief morning talk with God thanking Him the blessings we've received. What I love about my son is that he is persistent on his daily life. Kailangan niyang gawin ang mga dapat niyang gawin sa buong araw. And as her mom, I'm so proud of my little angel kasi mayroon na siyang ganitong mindset.

"And Father God, I pray that Tatay will be home soon. Please, Father God." narinig ko na sambit ni Nate at natigilan ako. I know he's been longing for his father's love. Sana nga bumalik kana Edrake, sana.

Matapos naming magawa lahat ng mga kailangan naming gawin sa umaga ay inihatid ko na siya sa kanyang school. Enrolled siya sa isa sa mga sikat na International School dito malapit sa amin. After kong ihatid siya ay syempre papasok naman ako sa trabaho ko. At pag uwian na nila ay susunduin ko naman siya at sabay kaming uuwi ng bahay. Kahit napaka busy ko ay I always make time for him, after all, ako lang masasandalan niya at ganun rin siya sa akin.

"Okay, young man, don't forget my-"

"Listen attentively. Respec my teachers. Make friends. Stay away from trouble. And, always love Nanay." sambit niya habang isinusuot ang backpack niya. Napangiti naman ako.

"I love you too, Nate. Always." sabi ko habang niyakap siya. Ginantihan naman niya ako ng isang napakahigpit na yakap, nakakagaan ng loob.

"I love you too, Nanay. Always." sabi niya at humalik sa pisngi ko. Ang sweet talaga, manang mana sa tatay. Napangiti naman ako.

"Off you go, young man. Baka ma-late ka." sabi ko at inalalayan na siyang bumaba sa sasakyan.

"Thanks, Nay. See you later." sabi niya at tumalikod na papasok ng gate. Ang saya saya lang sa pakiramdam na may isang taong naghihintay sayo araw araw. I feel loved. Charot drama hahaha

Agad naman akong tumungo sa opisina ko. My routine for the last seven years is home-nate's school-work repeat. 'Yan lang, I've never engaged myself to many people lately para bang isa na rin siyang sign of maturity that you are contented with your small group, and that is Neil and Elaine.

Now, I've owned my own Auditing and Assurance Firm. It has been established for about five years now at masasabi kong isa na kami sa mga mapagkakatiwalaan na firms nowadays. I'm happy that Ive achieved these recognitions but also I'm thankful to my Nate, my family and especially to Neil and Elaine. Sila ang naging katuwang ko sa pagtayo ng sarili kong firm kayat nakayanan ko lahat lahat ng problema.

"Good Morning, Ma'am."

"Good Morning, Ma'am Dane."

Tanging pagtango lang at ngiti ang isinusukli sa kanila. I'm never into chitchats nowadays. Kung noon I was labeled as one of the chismosa and stuff, but now, things have changed. Even Neil and Elain eh nanotice din nila, well maybe time is doing its own thing so no wonder.

"Hello, Ma'am. Glad you're already here. I've received an early phonecall. It's a new client and here's the thing, it is one of the biggest construction company nationwide as well as worldwide, Ma'am." naeexcite na sabi ni Thea, my trusted secretary.

"Wow, that's good. An early blessing for all of us." sabi ko

"They've said that they will contact you few days from now to arrange things regarding their company status. It's a great opportunity for our company." she exclaimed.

"It is. Thank you Thea for spilling the good news. Can I ask for a coffee?" agad naman siyang tumango at ikinuha na ako ng kape.

Naiwan akong nakangiti habang nirereview ang papeles ng prospected client namin. Well, I'm very happy para sa mga blessings na natatanggap ko lately. After a moments ay may kumatok sa aking pinto at pumasok. Well, I'm not surprised anymore.

"What are you doing here?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Ah grabe, ang sungit ah. Dapat happy tayo kasi may bagong bigatin na client." sabi ni Don.

Yes, after I established my own firm, I've contacted him and then he said yes right away. Now, he's one of my brilliant marketing manager.

Ngumiti naman ako ng peke.

"Wala na bang mas pepeke pa 'dyan, insan?" tanong niya.

And yes again, he's my cousin pala. Playful fate diba? I never wondered na magpinsan pala kami ng kolokoy na ito. He's living with my dad for quite a long time before since his family is settled in the States. Kaya naging close din kami and our first meeting after we found out that were blood related was so epic. He confessed that he has a thing for me, sabi ko naman lukso lang siguro ng dugo yun kaya nafeel niya yun. Well now, he's one of my closest cousin and probably the very strict cousin, ever.

"Teka nga, ano bang ganap mo at nandito ka? Ke aga aga, nambubulabog ka eh." sabi ko.

"Shar is coming home." diretsong sabi niya.

That leave me speechless. His runaway fianceé, same as me, right? Coincidence.

"H-how? Why?" tanong ko.

"Actually she's our new client. Sound coincidential but who knows, baka she came back for me." pagbibiro niya pero alam kong nalulungkot siya.

"It's okay. If you want, I will help you to clear her way back to you." sabi ko pero nakatuon ang mata ko sa mga papeles.

"How?" sabi niya at nakahalumbaba pa ang mokong.

"The best way to know if someone is still into you, is by getting him or her jealous. So, I can help you with that one. Hindi pa naman alam ng karamihan na magpinsan tayo kaya it's a safe option."

Bigla namang luminawag ang mukha niya at niyakap ako agad agad.

"Manang mana ka talaga sakin kasi napakatalino mo. Libre moko kasi nagshare ako ng katalinuhan ko sa'yo kahit papano." sabi niya kaya agad ko namang binatukan. At tumawa lang ang timang, haaay kaya kami nagkakasundo nito eh kasi parehong buang.

Well, I still believe that if that person is made just for you then no matter how many constraints available for the both you, you already know that love can save it all. That it doesn't matter anyway cause your love is enough to fight and make the most out of your love for each other.

Sana, our love for each other is also enough para magbalik ka. Sana.

I sighed.

"Pack your things, it's settled. Come on."

"Yes, babe."
