drip, drip, drip

the soft pitter patter of what seemed to be a leaky faucet was the only sound in the room.

it was dark. so dark that you couldn't even tell whether or not your eyes were open.

you sat uncomfortably in a wooden chair, your back aching from being thrown around, your wrists sore from how tightly tied they are.

you had done enough screaming and crying for the day. right now, you felt numb.

the sudden slam of a door leaves you feeling tense, your ears perking up, your back straightening as you wait for something, anything to happen.

you feel a gust of cold air hit the back of your neck and the hairs of your arm stand up.

you hated this. you hated not knowing where you were or even why the hell you were here.

one minute you were walking back home from the grocery store and the next a cloth is covering your mouth and you're being shoved into the back of a van.

since you first moved to (town's name) you always had an eerie feeling about it. everywhere you went you felt as if someone were watching you, following you.

once again a door slams shut, causing you to jump up. you feel your heart pound in your chest as heavy footsteps make their way towards you.

"it's okay, [y/n]. i'm not gonna hurt ya." a voice whispers from behind you, causing you to flinch.

you can tell from the slight raspiness that it's a boy's voice. possibly someone around your age.

"what do you want from me?" you whimper, your eyes squinting in hopes of catching a glimpse of something.

he chuckles, his breath fanning across your face as he seems to crouch beside you.

"you. you're all i want," he says, lifting his hand to caress your cheek, "you're all i need."

you cower back, panic arising in your chest and causing you to struggle against the restraints. your wrists begin to ache as they rub against the rope tied around them, but at this point you don't care.

you just wanted to get away.

the presence of the boy seems to disappear as you continue to tussle with the ropes. you calm down for a few seconds, until you feel two hands touching the back of your head.

you let out a squeal, about to go back to causing a riot when suddenly the darkness fades and the bright gaze of the sun burns into your eyes.

the first thing you do is glance at your surroundings, noticing that you're in a surprisingly done up basement.

for a second you almost forget that you've been kidnapped and that the culprit behind it all is also standing right behind you.

your head turns slowly, your eyes a bit watery from the drastic change of pitch black to a sunny yellow.

when you finally catch a peek at the person, you nearly fall out of your seat. you probably would have if it weren't for your arms being secured.
