* LEI's POV *

I was wondering what was going through Rain's mind. I wanted to hug her tightly; I wanted to finally get over Jing and Shancai so as to be able to date this gorgeous girl. Jing was in the past, Shancai was too. I had given up on both of them. I liked Rain, I was really into her.

- I... I li- I was interrupted by a presence.

It was Mrs. Collins, she was had entered the room. I looked at her, then I looked at Rain. Her eyes were full of intrigue. I mouthed 'Sorry'.

- Mrs. Collins, hi- I greeted her. - I should get going-.

The woman held my hand tightly.

- Thank you, Lei. Thank you so much for taking care of my daughter- she said.

She walked towards Rain, who didn't stop staring at me. I waved.

* RAIN's POV *

I wanted to go after him, I wanted to listen to his whole sentence. Instead I was tied to this hospital bed, not literally. My mother sat by my side, she was staring at me, worried. She wrapped her arms around me and hugged me. She was crying.

- Baby girl, I swear I'll get you a car- she said.  - don't you expose yourself like that again, okay?. I love you so much-.

I hugged her back.

- Mom, I like him- I told her. - he is such a gentleman. His looks and his personality are wonderful. But he hides something. Something that hurts him-.

* LEI's POV *

I wasn't gone. I was right outside the room and I heard it all. I couldn't help but smile. She liked me - and I liked her too. I, after listening to that, got out of the hospital. I went into my car and kept on smiling.

This had a future. And my secret... well, I'd have to open up some day. But not now.

* RAIN's POV  *

- We all have secrets- my mom said. - I think he'll open up later on. Don't push him- she smiled. - I'm so glad that you like him. He is an amazing guy-.

She smiled and I did too. I kept on wondering what he was going to say before my mom got into the hospital room. "I li..." and the rest was a mystery. What if I just told her I had to go to the bathroom or something?. Oh, right. I'm all bandaged and stitched up, I even though about the pain that it could imply to get out of bed - no, can't do.

Damn it.

Well, we are (thankfully) on the smartphone era. I could take out my phone and call him - but maybe later. My mother kept on stroking my hair and staring at me, smiling. Poor her. I imagine how horrible it must have been. "Hey, your daughter just got stabbed".

- Mom, wheres my phone?- I asked, because I couldn't find it.

- I don't know, baby- she said. - weren't you robbed?-.

Great, that bastard had stolen my phone. So, apart from stabbing me, he had managed to take hold (steal) my phone. God, this situation was driving me crazy. I wanted to talk to Lei, just ask him if he could finish his sentence. I was so desperate to know what he was going to tell me. Argh!

- Mom- I said. - could you ask Lei to come by later? Meaning, now?-.

- Y... yes- she said. - he called me, I have his number. I'll call him for you-.

She smiled and took out her phone. He had called her? - what a cutie. She put her phone to her ear and started talking.

- Hi, Lei. Its Mrs. Collins. Theres someone who wants to talk to you- she said, smiling.

- Oh, who could it be?- I said, staring at her. - the Grinch?-.

- Y... yes, I'll give her the phone- she said.

"I'll leave you too lovebirds alone" she mouthed. I sighed.

- Hello, hi. Yes... you were saying something- I said.

- Was I?- he asked.

- Yeah, you were. You said 'I li...' and then mom came. Could you please finish your sentence before I go crazy?- I asked.

- Nope- he answered.

Rude!

- Finish the bloody sentence, Lei. Please- I ordered.

I could hear his laugh over the phone. I rolled my eyes.

- Whats so funny?- I asked.

- You sound like a five year old- he said. - I'll finish it-.

I was shaking. I wanted to know, I needed to know. I could hear his breaths over the phone, it was something big. He wasn't going to just say something stupid. This was big - but not bigger than what I had thought.

- Later- he said.

Argh!
