So I got a Bob Seger vinyl record today from a big tag sale, and on the back of it were all the lyrics of all the songs on it.
So as I was listening to Rock n Roll never forgets, I caught something

What if Bob Seger was a prophet???
Dean said he was one of the greatest songwriters of all time- what if that's because he was a prophet?
And he mentions a Chevy in Night Moves, and solving mysteries without any clues.....
WHAT IF BOB SEGER WAS A FREAKIN HUNTER WHO MET CHUCK.
AND THAT'S WHY HIS SONGS ARE GREAT, THAT'S WHY HE SAYS CHUCK'S CHILDREN- IT'S A REFERENCE TO THE ANGELS, AND THE CHEVY AND MYSTERIES IS A REFERENCE TO SAM AND DEAN.
And that's why the Winchesters listen to rock n roll!!! They are unconsciously drawn to Bob Seger because he was a prophet and a hunter and understood their life!
Total headcannon. Chuck made Bob Seger a prophet and they met, and that's why he includes subtle references in his songs.
