Why do all the best theories come to you right before you fall asleep?

So anyways,

We know that there are multiple dimensions/universes in both Supernatural and Stranger Things, as obvious by Apocalypse World, The Upside Down, and the Bad Place.

But we also know that in Supernatural, Chuck is the one creating all of these universes as a set up to the Winchester story, as it's his favorite and he has created hundreds of universes while trying to get it right.

But here's the thing. The Universe is OLD. And even for someone like Chuck, it seems unlikely to me that he could just poof a universe into existence directly into 2005. There has to be set up. Humanity has to evolve, from caveman to hippie to hipster. It takes time for things to happen.

So it seems reasonable to me that Chuck got tired of sitting around and waiting for his story to happen. He was tired of reliving all the parts of history he didn't care about anymore. So, what he did was make dozens of universes all at once, or at different moments in times from each other. That way whenever one draft of the Winchester story failed, he could turn around and another one would be waiting for him, the world matured exactly where he needed it to be.

But as a writer I know that going over the same thing over and over can get boring after awhile. Sometimes you have to switch things up, and make a new story.

So Chuck decided to mess around with that, creating places like the Bad Place and the Upside down in the process. But he gets bored and returned to the Winchester story eventually, so these universes are just cast aside.

And Chuck doesn't truly care about any universe until 1983 as least, because that's when Sam Winchester is born. Is it too far a stretch to assume that he'd leave the world to do what it wants until then?

Stranger Things is set in the 80's, so what if, while the experiments involving Eleven were going down in Hawkins, Chuck was in another world, making more universes? The walls between worlds would be weaker then, as he was creating more, so Eleven is able to rip through, and open a door to the empty and start all the events of Stranger Things.

This is where Chuck realizes what he's made. He's unknowingly created his own weakness. If a human can get into another universe, then he has a serious problem.

So he alters the humans in his next world, and keeps a close eye on the world of Stranger Things. Sam and Dean Winchester are born in Kansas, whereas Hawkins is in Indiana. It's not that far a drive between the two.

What's worse? There was a Men of Letters bunker in Normal, Illinois, a mere four hours (roughly) away from where Hawkins would be. Whose to say the Men of Letters weren't involved with the experiments there, and therefore wouldn't the Winchesters, at the very least Henry, know about them?

So Chuck makes the human in his next universe a bit weaker, to hopefully avoid another incident. But then he comes across the problem of Nephilims, and he finds they have the same power, to open and close doors between universes, and even though humans are weaker, Hawkins still does their experiments, resulting in Dreamwalkers like Kaia, who can see the other universes, but can't quite get there on their own.

And Chuck gets more and more frustrated, because not only can he not get the Winchesters to do what he wants, but now he has the ever growing problem of people besides him being able to jump from universe to universe, potentially unraveling everything he's ever done.

So he decides he'll try one more time, saying screw it to all the problems, and making one more universe. He sticks with it through history, writing the Winchester books under Carver Edlund's name, and he deals with problems like dreamwalkers, nephilims, and people like Eleven when he can. And he finally thinks he's got it, he's gonna get the ending he wants and the problems will all be worth it.

And then Dean Winchester fucks it up.

And Chuck throws a temper tantrum and decides that he heeds a clean slate, so he wipes everything clean, destroying universe after universe. He won't have a problem with telepathic children or full grown Nephilim infants if they have no other universes to open, will he?

But even wiping out universes has its problems when those that know about the others make last chance efforts to escape, and other Sam and Deans start popping up in his latest failed attempt, and everything finally hits the fan when Kaia returns from the Bad Place just as Eleven jumps through a crack and runs right into Jack Kline.

The Winchesters are about to collide with every other character that's gotten in Chuck's way before, and that terrifies him because Chuck knows he's finally going to get the ass kicking he deserves

BONUS THING:

These are the portal to other universes from both shows. Something looks a bit similar, doesn't it?
