Killua's P.O.V
"I'll change the question... Does Gon concern you this much?" The grasp I placed on the rails were pressured as I gripped them.

"Yes it does!"

A pang of pain hammered my chest.

"...Why is it? It's none of your damn business. The answer he'll make was his own decision. Stop meddling with everything. Crashing in my life without my consent wasn't enough for you? You're trying to do the same with Gon aren't you?"

"Killua! What are you saying? You guys are my friends. Concernment is natural! Why won't Gon like her back even in the future? Even if I haven't done this?..  The result will never change? Tin will only get hurt? You're being impossible.... Why're you saying all these? Don't be mean." She scoots away.

My eyes shot wide upon the realisation as I backed off.

With my mood getting spoilt all of a sudden....

And with me... lashing to her...

I can only have one answer..

I must've liked this girl.

I like (Y/n)..?

"Killua—"

"Ask Gon." I sighed.

"Look, you're attached to that girl. If you have a choice... would you rather hurt Gon or let Tin get hurt by him? There's no other option.. Think about it." My eyes went dead as I shot one last glance before I left. "Being in love is stupid." A bitter mutter passed from my lips.

*Time-skips*

Morning came without warning.

Even though the problematic romance hindered, you guys went together at the beach side— by the back of the whale island.

"Maybe you guys should've worn frilly dresses when you still have a chance! Why wear your usual outfits?" You opened a conversation with a farce.

"Shut up, you idiot." Killua puts up a mocking expression. "The mermaid expects us to get the potion. She'll be looking out somewhere. Let's try negotiating..." She hopped on the sturdy rocks.

"Maybe this scale came off when she transformed into a human... Let's find the traces." Tin suggests.

"About the currents over that boundary.." You pointed at the far waves. "Is it really impossible?—"

"Yes. Like I said, that boundary belongs to the sea monsters. Unless we have our nen that'll allow us to fry 'em.... Even though that mermaid made an absolute deal that you're the only one allowed to take the potion, it's obviously a big NO for you, (Y/n).." Gon sounded strict.
