57: Family of Assassins

Killua's P.O.V

I can already feel the air vibrating and we're not even that near the site.

Structures in our own private laboratory were all scraped off literally, along with some of our workers.

Just how useless are they? I just left her for a minute then this happens?

They can only manage to produce various drugs, poisons and scientific tools and inventions— the weapons used for assassination.... but they aren't proficient enough to separate Alluka from Nanika which my family wanted to.

As we got closer in that certain block, the insane and sinister pressure crushed the air, making us unable to breathe and advance further. I doesn't matter if you use nen to counter it because it was just way too strong.

(Y/n)'s doing this?

"Young master, we've reported to your parents and they've ordered us to take her down. Please move." Amane directly states.

"Where's the head scientist? If the pill he gave countered the drug dad injected to Alluka, then she should be awake now. I'll request her to save (Y/n)."

"All scientists were already massacred by (Y/n). Alluka was still a bit weakened and it's probably dangerous for her to use nen."

"Tch. I'll get in myself." I took off my jacket, leaving the shirt. "Don't intervene."

"It's dangerous! We prioritize young master's safety the most." She activates her nen, determined from stopping me. "Even air itself is no longer possible in the eye of the storm she created—"

"I command you to back off. We're wasting time." I shot a menacing glare to the butlers before rushing in.

I could probably hold my breath for approximately 5-8 minutes...

It was a skill I adapted from Gon..

And with this... I'll enter her zone.

Her eyes were closed.

Just like a gifted psychic who produces ravaging, and unique energy, she's unconsciously floating in the middle of circling and flying wrecked masses— Pieces that were either corpses and objects.

The room was like a hell hole.

Her body's natural defenses were reacting from the poison?...

It's more than nen...

Damn it. Screaming her name could take all my energy. I'm already expending too by just approaching her.

I'll just knock her off quickly.

I've enhanced my nen more and more the nearer I get, about to transmute electricity.

You've got to be kidding me...

Since I've fought dad today, I'm not charged enough to activate godspeed... The last drop of current was at the dinner...

This is bad.

I moved my feet closer towards her, fighting off her impenetrable barrier which ate almost everything in her way like a void of the blackhole.

My lungs felt tighter and my bones creaked from the enormous force even though I'm using enough nen to protect myself!

A destructive source lies within her body and it would've crushed any physical attempts we do.

She might be stronger than Alluka and all the enemies I've faced in my entire life.

If it's like this, she's on the same level of the ant king back then.. No. She's a lot more stronger than him.

However, she wasn't longer invincible when a solid, nen-infused needle shoots and cuts through her defences. Her body's needlessly bringing out energy at its best. She's not in the right mind and she's overlooking lots of openings, failing to guard herself.  And once a very skilled technique gets to her, she'll probably be hit.

Her monstrous power died out as she fell down to my arms.

"Her power's vibrating even from the testing gates. Amazing. I knew it. She's a rare creature, exactly like Alluka." Judging from his deviant aura, it's definitely our eldest brother.

"Illumi.."

"Before you start directing all that bloodlust to me, you should know they sent me to shut the threat. These kind of special beings needs to be controlled in order to maintain balance, Kill. Sadly, you're still immature to understand it."

I was about to pull out the imbedded needle in her neck but they suddenly came in the scene, harshly separating (Y/n) from me as they got me fully restricted.

"(Y/n)!! Dammit! Don't touch her!!" Emotions brought out my raging nen as it gushed out from my body uncontrollably.

"Your brother is merely stabilizing her. Don't you want Yuu— I mean (Y/n) to participate the next test?" Mother speaks. "You're acting unnecessarily just like Kalluto. If you don't want to be sent away for a long mission, behave yourself."

"I don't belong in this horrible family ever since I met Gon snd all my friends! I'm not an assassin anymore!! I would never listen to any of your demands! I'm sick of it!" I furiously growled, squirming out of their grip.

"You were born as an assassin. It's your fate to die as an assassin." Grandpa states in monotone.

"I'm a hunter!" I clenched my jaw, trying to squeeze out more power from me as they restrained me with all they've got.

"The reason why I've allowed you to do anything you've willed for up until now was for your future. Meeting Gon and all the trials are essential for your growth. You've gotten outrageously strong but it's not enough... That's why I know you'll end up returning here... that's because you're my son." He crushed me to the ground, violently pinning me down.

"Tch. Quit being loud when it's dawn.. I thought our mansion's gonna fall apart.... Geez. Who the hell is this girl?" Milluki grabbed her arm and locked a device collar around her neck.

"Stop it!! F*cking bastards! Let me go!!"

"We've got to fix your childishness, Kill. Just be patient until your fiancé's decided."

"I don't need one." I wriggled.

"Are you saying you want them dead?"

"Just how fucking twisted can you guys be?"

"Clean this chaotic mess."

"Yes, Master Kikyo." Butlers were quick on their move as they start to sanitise the area.

"Bring the girl back in her room... And Kill, you're up for some discipline."
