You received nothing but torments from this cruel dimension....

"You.. You've lost something dear haven't you?" The dying lady reverts to her mermaid form, crippling below Gon. "I'll give you my nen..." She coughed blood.

"W-What?" He bents down, trying to decode her words.

"Keep my nen you brat, it's limited due time.. yet it'll be a help.... But if you're like the typical humans... go kill the girl who has done this to me.. and you'll regain your permanent nen.." Her words were weak but it held a significant message.

Gon gazed at her within his deep hazel orbs— eyes that were searching answers as his mind held many thoughts.

"You're wondering why a creature such as me exists right? Well.. Be surprised.. Hundreds of mythical and legendary beasts and monsters exists within our land— The Dark continent."

"Dark continent?"

"The land which killed many hunters who endeavours to explore it—I.." She struggled to breathe. "My kind... is considered as one of the rulers of that territory you consider as a taboo... You're lucky to receive my nen.. Don't let it go to waste."

The boy was about to ask questions but the mermaid had her one last breath before passing away, leaving Gon a blessing.

"D-don't fight!" No matter how I pleaded and yelled, it was unnoticed by my two friends who were battling ruthlessly.

"Out of my sight if you wanna live." Tin increased her force.

I know I can't see nen but my tingling senses can feel it.
