Krist opened the door with difficulty. Especially when he had to use one of his hands to turn the knob while, with the other one, he had to stand up with the support of a single crutch.
So, when he finally heard the click that indicated that the latch had been pulled back, he could only smile in relief.
"Finally ...!" He said to himself as he took a couple of steps back and, being careful in order not to fall, took the second crutch from the place where he had placed it, next to the wall.
- "But ... What happened to you?" - exclaimed Toptap, having just seeing him, for the first time, with his leg in a cast.
"It seems that she has not told him anything ... although ... after what happened, it does not surprise me"
- "A small accident on a staircase, nothing serious" - Krist answered while smiling at the young man - "but enter, do not stay in the hall".
After which he turned around and began to walk, slowly, towards the armchairs.
- "Do you want something to drink?" - Asked Krist, just a minute later, as he sat down while letting out a slight sigh of relief.
Toptap frowned and, walking quickly to where Krist was sitting, occupied the seat next to him.
- "Are you feeling well?"
Krist smiled, nodding at the same time.
- "Yes ... it was just a silly fall, I'll be fine after a few days of rest ..." - said the latter as he leaned over and took a bottle of tea from among everything that was arranged in front of them.
There, on a glass table, were placed several trays with drinks and some snacks that the young man, with great skill, had managed to bring from the kitchen.
- "Krist, I can not stay long ... you know she is waiting for me at home" - muttered, however, Toptap while looking with regret at Krist's face. The face of a young man he had not seen again for several months. Since the day of his own wedding, to be more exact.
Krist simply sighed, looking down at the half-drunk bottle that was in his hands.
- "I know ..." - he said - "I know she is waiting for you".
- "Krist ... I ... in the end, I could never tell you how sorry I was ... I did not want ..."
Krist raised a hand, clearly indicating to the young man not say anything else.
- "I know that everything was a mistake ... a misunderstanding on my part" - Krist said while smiling sadly - "I mistaked your kindness with something else ..."
Toptap took one of the water bottles and opened it to immediately drink it in one gulp.
"He's feeling uncomfortable..." Krist told himself as he watched the face of the young man he had been his life. The young man who, for quite some time, he thought he could never forget ...
Krist smiled, feeling relieved.
- "But do not worry about that ... it is already over" - Krist continued as he took his mobile and showed him a picture of him with Singto - "He is my boyfriend".
