Nobody knew how broken Alice Smith really appeared. She hid it very well from her peers. She had a broken relationship with her father, Henry Smith. Their relationship had frayed too many times to count. She thought she could trust him. It turned out to couldn't rely on him.
He had broken her too many times. She couldn't change how he was. As much as she wished she could. She only wished that he would change - just for her.
They weren't always this way. She used to look forward to biking to school. He worked so much to give her what she had, and she'll forever be grateful. But she missed him growing up. He was always working. He missed out on a lot her life.
Things began to change when her mother announced she was divorcing her father. She thought her kingdom was perfect, but it all crumble underneath her feet. He made her mother seem like an monster. Little did she know the real monster was hiding behind his eyes.
Alice sat at the table, where her father grumbled over the lies he made up about her mother. Alice was again yelled at for listening to her mother.
"Alicia, she's lying to you. Goddamnit why won't you listen?! She's a criminal!" Her father ragged on.
Alice's blood pressure started to slowly rise higher. She tried not to let him get under her skin. It seemed inevitable. He was going to get under her skin. No matter how hard she tried to ignore him... he always seemed to succeed to rile her up.
"Okay." She muttered, hoping to shut him up.
But it only set a trigger in him. He began bashing her mother hard core. Tears burned behind her corneas. His words sliced through her heart.
"She's always lying to you! You can't see through it because she bought all your love with gifts and bribes!" Alice turned toward her father with a heavy glare.
"Stop. I don't want to hear it. Dad, you and Mom weren't happy. You treated her like shit and she didn't deserve it. She found someone who would treat her better and you can't accept that." She shot back.
Henry's eyes turned into rage. He started yelling, throwing everything in sight. Alice fought against the fear in her body and reacted with her adrenaline.
Before she knew it, she was up in his face. Under her barrier, she felt naked. She was freshly eighteen years old. Officially an adult in the world she hadn't explored yet. She hasn't expended her horizons.
She had so many questions. She was tried of being hurt. She was too young to be this hurt. She thought he loved her.
Apparently she was wrong. Was he always this way? She didn't know. She hoped he would change. Only for her. But deep, deep, deep down she knew the answer.
"Fuck you!" Her father's hand went into the glass door, shattering the window in one impactful punch. She stopped back, startled by the energy in that room. "Fuck you and your slut of a mother!" Alice fought harder against the dam behind her fragile eyes.
Her ocean-light-blue eyes gave a gateway to her pain. The key had unlocked the darkness in her body. All sorts of pain she hadn't fully understood. Well not just yet. And soon she would... learn that the man she once called Daddy had disowned as his blood.
"Fuck you! You can't handle the truth!" She shouted back, immensely her voice shook.
She feared when the her father's loving hand turned to an awful sight. She never seen so much rage in the man before.
She called the cops, had him arrested for domestic abuse. He hadn't ever scared her so badly before. Sure he punched walls, screamed and said unkind words.
But never had he scared her like that before. Her mother comforted her as she signed the documents to ensure her safety.
She had placed an seventy-two hour restraining order in place against Henry Smith. That meant he couldn't contact her or see her for the full 72 hours.
Her heart shattered at the thought. She never wanted to go this far. She only wanted to be not put in the middle of her parent's nasty divorce. Her mother didn't put her there, she kept her out.
Unlike Henry, he didn't listen. She had told him countless times it was their fight and she wanted no part of it.
She hoped that one day he would stop. He had told the whole town that she was a horrible person and deserved to be neglected and abused like she had broke him.
Alice sprinted unevenly against the cracking roads as she reached for the lifeboat. The boat tugged away and she fell into the water - the river of her own tears was what made that water.
She broke down to anguished sobs. She couldn't believe he had said such things. It hurt more than anybody expected. He was her own father, his blood and he just betrayed her like that.
"Al, ignore that bastard." She heard her boyfriend growl out as he wrapped his arms around her body.
She only peeked her head out of his shoulder and cried with relief. FP had known how negatively her father impacted her life and esteem issues. Lately she has been struggling with anxiety and depression.
Henry only twigged her to feel so uncleaned by her thoughts. And it broke his heart. FP hated how much Henry broke Alice. He knew how badly Alice's scars ran.
"Why doesn't he love me?" She whimpers, clenching crept into his heart.
FP cupped her cheeks with his hands, making her look directly into his eyes." Al, he's not worth it. He is not healthy and it makes me so fucking sick to my stomach that he treats you this way. I don't know why he does it. I want to beat his ass for what has said. You don't deserve this."
She curled into his arms, further into the couch they were both seated on. She sobs harder into his chest.
"I'm so tired of being strong. I'm mentally, physically and spiritually exhausted. I don't get what I did wrong to be treated this way." She choked onto her sob.
FP's jaw clenched tightly," You don't, Alice. He's nothing but, a huge psychopath who doesn't realize what he has done. You're the strongest, most bravest, sassiest and badass woman I've ever met. You can throw bricks and only get sexier. He doesn't deserve you if he can't realize that he has hurt you so much. I don't know what kind of father says that. My father isn't any better, but I know we aren't like them.
I won't be an abusive drunk, and you'll be anything but, your father. I love you so much, Al. I can't bear to see you endure so much pain." He told truthfully.
He had meant every single word. He knew she'll never be the same. He hoped those words helped her, even if it was just a little.

I'm sorry for such a sad chapter. I've been having a hard time. I know I don't do a lot of teen Falice and I figured I would do one. Also this is from a personal experience. It was really hard for me to write this.
Love,
