It's a few months since FP started the job as Council Woman Smith's Nanny. He calls himself freelance compared to a Nanny. It makes him feel little more manly. His son, daughter and him were all living in Alice's house since he got gotten the job. Alice continued working. Her father had just visited Alice a couple months back. As FP could tell Senator Smith was a peace of work. He acted like the fun grandfather but he also caused a lot job. He hadn't heard much from Alice. She didn't really like him. He didn't mind her.
Now it was his turn to have some issues with family. His brother was visiting and staying for a little awhile.
"Alice, is she available?" His brother asked him out of the blue when they were in the basement.
FP shrugged his shoulders," I don't know, man. You would have to ask her." He adds nonchalantly, unaware that jealousy was sneaking out in his tone.
His brother put a smug look on his face and said," Well, Smith's got a great ass."
The way FP's jaw clenched caused his brother to back away. He didn't hide his grin though. It was already too late for that. His brother was in deep water now. No turning back.
"I wouldn't." Tony walked away from the weight bench and held his grin.
"Do you like Smith?" He watched his brother's actions very closely.
FP set down the weight on the ground and cracked his neck to the side. It looked as if the Jones' brothers were about to fight.
"I'm sure you wouldn't mind if I'd sleep with her." He watched FP's jaw clench.
FP shoved his brother against the back wall, restraining him with his weight, pinning. "Watch it, Tony!" He threatened, his fist curling slight against his side.
"Last time I saw that face, it was the Andrea Dittman fight." His brother mentioned as he saw how red FP's face was getting.
"You really want to talk about that again?"
"I didn't do anything wrong then either." The denial in his brother's action only made him more angry.
"Yes, you did."
"No, I didn't."
"Yes, you did."
"No, I didn't. "
"Yes, you did."
"No, I didn't."
It seemed go on for what seemed like hours, but it was only minutes.
FP finally gave his finally comment," Yes, you did, all right? You made out with Andrea, then you told the entire school and she was humiliated." He didn't stop," And then when I went to ask her out, she said, "no way. I'm never gonna date another Longo."
Tony's face curled into a smirk again as he said smugly." Oh, yeah, I did do that."
"You son of a--" He got his hands up ready to take a swing back.
"So is big brother gonna give me another black eye?" His little brother challenged.
"You were the one that started that fight, all right? You threw the first punch."
"No I didn't."
"Yes you did."
"No I didn't."
"Yes you did."
"No I didn't."
"Yes you did."
"No no, that?"
FP gave him a punch." I'm sorry, that's not a punch."
"Yes, it is."
"No, no. See, that-- that's a punch." Tony grunted as soon as FP gave him a blow to his gut. "Bring back any memories, buddy?"
"Yeah, takes me back all the way to the '90s." Tony threw back sarcastically.
"Oh sweet, yeah. I see you've gotten a lot better at slow dancing. - Oh, you're funny."
All of a sudden they heard Alice's voice travel down the steps and into their ears. "FP? Tony?" She calls.
She heard fighting downstairs and wondered what was going on. So she when she didn't hear anything, she called again.
"Where are you guys?" She could hear fighting coming from down below as she descended downstairs.
"You like your boss!" Tony chuckled, trying to arise out of his brother.
He knew FP had some feelings otherwise he wouldn't have countered attack him. He wasn't dumb unlike his brother. He could tell when FP likes someone.
FP's face was bright with furry. "Hey, she's not my boss. I'm freelance!" Another punch was thrown into Tony's direction.
"Hey, hey, guys, stop this!" Alice shouted roll getting them to stop fighting each other and threw herself in front of them.
"I told you to not make a move with her." FP said with a clenched fist.
"Stop-- stop fighting over me." Alice snapped.
The brothers threw a glance in her direction and this time FP answers," You?"
"Yeah. You're fighting over me, aren't you?"
Tony walked over to her and gave a quick glance over to his brother, who was standing there with a closed fist. "Okay, you know what? You know what? The truth is that we're fighting because FP doesn't have the courage to admit...." He pauses to see his brother's reaction and then finished," that he still holds a torch for Andrea Dittman after 15 years when I'm the one she wanted."
"Yeah. Yep, that's-- that's what we were fighting about." FP joined in.
"That's it. What about what he did to me with the private pictures?" Alice asked with her arms crossed over her midsection.
She watched and waited for their responses.
"Oh yeah, what's up with that?" He asked with a glare." I do what I want with my art."
"I've had it with your art. I didn't say tackle him." FP commented, getting angry again.
Alice rolled her eyes at FP." I didn't say tackle him."
She left the room and went back upstairs."
Jones'-- never let them in your house." She said as she caught looks from the kids.
Even Jughead saw through his facade that his dad put up. He knew since his father's divorce his dad is afraid of committing. It's not like he had issues or anything. No, it was more like his dad had a hard time letting people in. He saw how his dad interacts with Ms. Smith and knows that his dad doesn't realize it yet, but his eye is on her.
