Defeated

The father in him thought long and hard about his decision. He felt like he had been defeated when his family took a loss. After the exile of his son, and later death, FP came to a decision. It was time for him and his daughter to move away from this
poisoned town he used to call home.

He had so many memories of his son growing up in this town. He hated the fact that every time he looked around, his stomach aches. His son had been murdered and he still couldn't get over the loss it caused his family.

"FP... don't leave." He heard Alice's voice whispering into the wind.

He turned away from the door, tried to look away from the tears falling off her cheeks. It pained him with every ounce of torture. He never wanted to cause her pain. But he also was living in a daily agony.

Being in the town where his life fell apart, only made him want to die. But he didn't have time to dwell on his pain. He had to focus on his daughter. She was also grieving as well as him, maybe even more than he had.

"I-I can't, Alice... it's just too painful to be in this town... surrounded by the tortures of his life. My son is dead and I can't move on in the same area... I j-just can't."

Alice's eyes welled up," Please stay for me." She didn't want to began him to stay. She needed him like the oxygen we breathe in.

She wasn't sure how to comprehend another loss. Jughead meant so much to her. She used to not like him. She never hated him. She began to adore him, loved how he cheated her daughter like she was his world.

Now...now that was all gone. Her daughter no longer smiled, her boyfriend didn't laugh or make a joke at Jughead. It was like Riverdale lost of sense of humor when the grand Beanie boy's life was taken too early and took it with him to his grave.

FP had buried him on the south side; He always cherished the south side. Alice watched him pick out plots and coffins two months ago. He had decided that his son would've loved a burial on the south side.

He was a Southside Serpent and that didn't stop once you die. No, it lives on.

He swallows the lump forming down his throat, and struggles to keep his eyes from wetting from his tears. "Al... I need to go. The house is back in your name. I went down to the Real estate's office last week and put everything in yours and Betty's name. I'm sorry I just can't stay here."

"Forsythe, what about our engagement? Was that all a waste of time to you? Am I not enough or did you even ask if I wanted to come with you and Jellybean?" His jaw clenched hard as he tried to avoid shouting.

"No, of course not. I never said our engagement was a waste of time. I need time to grieve, Alice. My son was killed in cold blood as I might add."

"Is this about Betty?!" She shouted, unable to hold it back any longer.

She didn't see his eyes show an false answer. She already knew." Oh... my god, it is. You are running away because of what happened! It was an accident!"

"Helping hide them fact she killed him was an accident?! The fact she came home with blood on her bra was an accident?! Of course it's about her, Alice! She killed my son!"

"The stone-"

He holds up his hand to her," Don't just blame it on stonewall, yes, they had something to do with it sure, but she-her hand was on the rock! She's the one who killed not them!" He snapped, his eyes burning furiously.

Alice stood shocked on what to say next. He was right, no he is right. Betty did kill his son, and it also didn't help she hid it, instead of coming forward. "I know! I know that, FP!"

"So... are we done?" He asked the hardest question in his life. He didn't want to lose her, but he also couldn't get passed the fact she's defending her daughter's blunt actions.

A tear slips from her eye." Are you saying we are over...like over, FP?" She responses back with a question.

FP looks at her and swallows harshly before nodding." I'm sorry, Alice.... I think we are."

Alice's heart broke as he grabs the door handle and turns it to the left. "Goodbye, Alice." And out the door he went.

She watched as the truck, that carried his son's abandoned motorcycle and boxes drove away in the blinding sunset. Jellybean shyly turning around and waved a sad hand gesture as the truck turned the corner. She didn't know if she'd ever see him again.

As far as their love game only stopped when there was no coming back from what happened. While her daughter was locked away, she had to lose the best man in her life.

This is written because of the news I saw. Skeet is leaving Riverdale. I preferred him leaving over a heartbreaking death. So I went with him moving away and a break up.

On another note, I don't or I'm not mad at him for leaving. I'm happy for him, but I'm still upset that he is. I wish him all the best luck to having more opportunities.

Unfortunately, we all know that Riverdale wasn't giving him the quality he rightfully deserves. He didn't say it but I think that's why he left or maybe he just wants to bigger roles and that's perfectly fine.

Thank you Skeet for being this amazing character to life for us! I wish you the best luck!

Love Aut!
