Been a while since I've written for Jack. It's also been a while since I've written anything lmao.

Ah, the nice busy streets of downtown. Filled with the typical busybody hurrying from place to place, street magicians, the occasional cafe setup, street magicians, street musicians...oh, did I mention the street magicians?
Those guys were everywhere, I swear. Can't walk by without having them call out to people walking by. I can't tell you how many times I've been specifically called out while I was passing. I barely glanced up at the cons that called me out, pursing my lips and forging ahead in my path.
But no matter how many times I seemed to try and walk past these magicians, there was always this street corner near my apartment where one magician always performed his tricks. It was always the same guy, somehow managing to find new tricks every day since a few weeks after I moved in. Which just so happened to be about a WHOLE TWO FRICKIN' YEARS AGO.
How the hell-
You know what? There's so many weird tricks out there. I'm not gonna question it.
So this magician. Not going to lie, he's actually attractive. He's cute. His hair looks like the softest thing I could run my fingers through. His eyes are such a soft brown, no wonder he always seems to gather such a big crowd every time I see him performing. Well, maybe that and the fact that he's handsome as heck. No doubt his eyes are what bring home a girl every so often. If not that, then it's his smirk. That beautiful smirk, taunting me to come closer and watch just one of his shows.
I ignored the smirk, of course, always sparing him a glance and nothing more. And I don't know how in the world he did it, but he always managed to catch my glance. Every. Single. Time.
HOW IN THE WORLD-
Ya know what? I'm not gonna answer that either.
He always seemed to be wearing the same leather jacket every time I saw him, no matter how cold or hot it was outside. You'd think he'd be sweating up a storm when it was at least 80 degrees out, and you'd think he'd be shivering to the point where he'd be vibrating when it was below freezing. But nooooo, he didn't seem fazed by the weather changes.
"Hey, you there!" a familiar voice called out.
I looked up in the direction of the voice, seeing that I had reached the corner near my apartment. And therefore I reached that magician.
"Come on, dude, I just finished my classes for the day. I just want to get home and binge watch Supernatural." I sighed as I headed over, my hands in my pockets. "College can be a bitch. Bet it must be nice performing magic tricks for everyone instead of sitting in a class taking notes."
When I finally reached him, he loosely draped an arm around my shoulders. And I hate to admit, it felt nice. I was itching to inch closer and lean against him, to lean into his warmth. I wasn't cold, it just felt pleasant.
"Damn, he's even cuter up close." I muttered to myself.
I met his gaze and he seemed to be smirking at me. I couldn't tell if that was just a thing he normally did or he heard what I said to myself. A deck of cards rested in his other hand.
"What's your name, sweetheart?" he asked me.
"Don't know why I'd trust a stranger with my name, but it's (Y/N)." I replied with a laugh.
"I like to think we're not strangers, at the rate we see each other during the week." he whispered.
I scoffed. "We'll see about that. Hurry up with your trick, though."
