"Bella" my dad called out as I passed by the opening elevator. Last week I found out that my dad and Meredith ended it and now was messing around with Rose the surgical nurse.

"Bella"

"Dad not now" I said continuing on my way.

"Bella" he repeated once more grabbing my shoulder.

"Fine you want my opinion. I think you're wasting your time with Rose. Meredith and you should fight for each other because you know and I know that she's worth fighting for" I said. My dad looked blankly at me.

"Sorry that was harsh"

"But the truth and I appreciate that. It's only been a few dates with Rose" my dad explained.

"Ahhh my favorite human being" Addison gleamed as she got off the elevator. She went straight for the hug, pushing my head against her body.

"What's with everyone acting like I'm a child" I asked.

"I saw the pictures! Mark sent them to me and then I sent them to your mom" Addison rambled.

"Oh my god it's like a family reunion" Mark joked.

"Dr.Shepherd are we going to do rounds?" Lexie asked as I saw the rest of interns lingering behind her.

"Just one moment" I said holding up my finger.

"Okay I am going now buts it's been wonderful talking to you all this very, and I mean very early morning" I sarcastically said. I then looked to my dad who gave a soft smile.

"Okay if any of you speak about this little family moment you saw I'll make sure you don't see the inside of the OR room for a month" I warned they all stiffened up at the sound of my threat.

George, however, a smile across his face.

"Especially you O'Malley" I called out knowing he was smiling instead of being afraid.

The group erupted into giggles and I smirked.

"Oh Bella" Izzy called out as we passed each other in the hallway.

"Yeah what's up?"

"You'll never believe it. Really old guy is conscious"

"That's great Izzy. Really it is but I have better things to worry about" I called out not concerned about the old guy. I was more worried about my dad and his stupid decisions.

I was happy I voiced my opinion because my dad and Meredith were beginning their clinical trial today. I was hoping this maybe would snap some sense into my dad and realize what he's missing.

I see the way Meredith looks at him from a distance. She's still in love and my dad is oblivious to it.

As we continued down the hall I saw Meredith talking to the head nurse.

"Hey good luck today on the trial" I whispered as I touched her arm. She turned her head and smiled.

"Thank you" Meredith responded back.

The clinical trial is using a virus in hopes that it attacks the brain tumor shrinking it in size. The first patient for the trial was coming into Seattle Grace today for the procedure.

I was excited to watch from the viewing gallery today. I was bringing one of my interns along with me as well.

"Okay let's start rounds. Whoever does the best can come to the view to the clinical trial with me" I explained. They all began to whisper amongst themselves.

"Okay room 6129 who's presenting?" I asked. They all glazed over the chart as O'Malley raised his hand.

"O'Malley"

"Patient's name is Matthew Silverman. He's here for a heart transplant"

"Good O'Malley. Mr.Silverman Doctor Han should be in soon to inform you about the surgery while you're being prepped by Emma" I said.

The young girl stepped forward and shook her head nervously at me.

We continued rounds until I received a page that the procedure was about to begin.

"Uh, Grey go help in the clinic. O'Malley come with me" I said. Lexie looked disappointed while George was gleaming.

"So how's it going? Any gossip on me?" I asked George as we walked to the gallery.

"No I think they like you. Well maybe except for Grey but she doesn't seem to like anyone here"

"It's because I caught her and Alex about to do it in the supply closet" I said rubbing my temples.

"I'm moving in with her" George continued.

"That's nice. You know I'll try and talk to the chief about letting you take the intern test again" I mentioned.

"No, if he's going to offer I want it to come from him" George said. I shook my head okay respecting his decision.

We both sat down in the front and got comfortable as Meredith and my dad walked into the OR.

"Okay Meredith we have to insert the virus at the same for optimal function" My dad said. The two looked at each other as they slowly injected the virus.

Once they finished the patient went into cardiac arrest. The two fought to keep the patient alive but it was no use.

He was pronounced dead.

"They'll get this. I know they will" I said to George who looked disappointed that it didn't work.

We both headed back to finish the days work. I went to chart some information while my interns ran a muck around the hospital.
