My dad was crashing out our place until the house was done being completed or until he and Meredith made up which seemed like never right now.

Every other night Zola would come join us.

Let me tell you, it is not fun having your dad sleep on the couch in the room next to yours. Jackson was contemplating staying at Meredith's until he left.

It was 2 in the morning when I could hear Zola cry. I counted to 15 waiting for my dad to get up but he didn't.

So I slowly rolled out of bed and prepared a bottle for Zola while still half asleep. When the crying wouldn't let up I grabbed my keys and her car seat.

We drove around town until she stopped crying. I headed back to the apartment around 4 in the morning and I had to be up in a half an hour.

I quietly walked in and placed Zola down back in her pop up crib that was stationed in the middle of my living room.

I headed to the bathroom where I took a long, relaxing shower before getting ready for work. As I emerged from the bathroom an hour later I saw my dad and Jackson trying to juggle breakfast and Zola while still trying to get ready for work.

"Good morning" I said kissing Jackson before grabbing Zola and her bottle.

"I can take her to work with me and drop her off at Daycare while you get ready" I mentioned to my dad who looked slightly stressed. After all he hasn't raised a child since me and even then you he had plenty of help.

"Could you? Tell daycare that Meredith will picking Zola up today" my dad said kissing my temple and heading to the bathroom for a shower.

"He needs to find somewhere"Jackson nicely whispered as he handed me a travel mug with coffee.

"I know" I said bouncing the child on my hip.

"Come on I'll drive" Jackson said grabbing the car seat and diaper bag.

We pulled up the hospital and headed for the daycare.

"Look at you two" Mark boomed in the hallway. I turned around to see him smiling. "How's your dad?" He asked.

"Handling things okay. I just need him out of my living room already. As much as I like spending every other night with Zola I need him out" I said. Mark laughed.

"Zola" Meredith sung from down the hall.

"How was she?"

"Zola is feed and slept most of the night. Car ride are key" I said. Meredith thanked me and walked away with her.

I turned around to find Mark and Jackson talking about something.

"You ready?" I called out

"Yeah" Jackson responded leaving Mark in the hallway by himself.

"What were you talking about?"

"Just a case" Jackson slightly weird. I let it go.

I was busy running around tending to the patients when I received a 911 page from my dad.

I headed downstairs rushing through the hospital to find him outside of the daycare with the adoption agent.

"Meredith and Zola are missing. I paged her multiple times already" my dad said panicked.

"I'm sure she's got a good explanation" I said trying to worry the adoption agent.

"Go find her" my dad whispered. I headed all around the hospital to find her with Cristina and Alex in an exam room.

"My dad is looking for you. What happened?" I asked all quiet.

My dad and the agent walked in a few minutes later. I excused myself and stayed behind the nurses station.

I watched as Zola was taken away and my dad stormed out not speaking a word to Meredith. Alex walked over to console her.

In that moment I felt terrible. Meredith has been fired, lost her husband and now was loosing the child she had been hoping for.

The world was just not in her favor.

"I feel bad for them" Jackson said.

"We should take Zola. If they can't have her we should take her for the time being" I said to Jackson. I might be speaking crazy talk but that little girl deserved to have parents like Meredith and my dad.

"Bella"

"I know I know. It's crazy talk but Zola means the world to them. They deserve to have her"

"I'll schedule a meeting tomorrow" Jackson said kissing my head. I smiled as he walked away.
