I headed home to find Jackson pacing the kitchen.

"What the hell Bella? I don't want this" he yelled. I knew his frustration was at me but at his mother.

"Jackson hey, calm down, we can get through this" I said calmly hoping his temperament would ease.

"I don't want to own the hospital. I didn't ask for this. It's just a way for her to control me even more and now- now she has you controlled too" he said as he continued to pace with his hands on head.

"Did you not tell her I didn't decide yet if I was changing my last name?"

"No I didn't get around to it. It was something that didn't pertain to her anyways" Jackson said.

"She's calling me" Jackson huffed as he pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"We have legal jargon to go over she said" I explained.

"I'm not answering it" he said placing the phone down. Soon after my phone began to ring. "Don't do it" Jackson said as I raised my phone to see who was calling.

"Fine but I don't want the lectures from her that I didn't answer" I said. He dropped his head into his hands. I rubbed his back.

"We got this" I said.....

Well it turns out this was more than we could imagine. One week later and the hospital was fully in our control.

I was conflicted between the survivors group and the Harper Avery Foundation. Both sides depended on my judgement to follow theirs.

"Okay sorry I'm late" I said as I practically waddled into the conference. I was completely on leave from surgeries and being a doctor but still had to tend to Board of Directors duties.

"Can you explain how Jackson has the majority say in things" Robbins asked as I walked in.

"A plastics fellow? He can't be trusted with that much power" Cristina commented.

"Ok stop I don't want to hear it. Can we begin?" I said sitting down.

"We are waiting on your fiancé" Cristina sassed. I rolled my eyes as I relaxed in the chair.

We waited thirty minutes before we began without Jackson.

"We agree that Peds and Adult ER will be combined to save on personnel?" Robbins asked.

"Yes" I said looking around to make sure everyone agreed.

"I'm sorry guys. I was running on time and then my last round of patients turned into a crier" Jackson said as he placed a box of donuts on the table. My dad specifically didn't look pleased.

"We were just about to discuss the reopening of the ER and the trauma department" Meredith commented.

"Oh yes, um, I'm not ready for that just yet" Jackson said as he fumbled around with the folders he had. I tapped on the one under the pink folder.

"Thank you" he mouthed.

"If you need more time with the material we can just go ahead" my dad said.

"No-no I've read it-it's just that the foundation feels like the E.R is not a forgone conclusion" Jackson said.

"Bella did you know this?" My dad asked.
